It says New Super Mario Bros. on the site, but it has a picture of Mario 64 DS. The offical rules say Mario Bros. DS, which I assume is New SMB.

They are giving away a DS Lite, as well, not the DS phat.

"Trip will take place between May 8, 2006 and May 10, 2006"
That would really really depress me to know that I have to leave the day E3 starts when I'm literally right next door to it...

Prize will include the following: one (1) standard double occupancy (two persons, one room) hotel accommodations for three (3) days / two (2) nights, round-trip coach air transportation for two (2) people from the major airport nearest the winner's residence (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion), ground transportation to/from airport to hotel, to/from hotel to the Kodak Theater (site of the Nintendo Media Briefing), Two Hundred US Dollars ($200) spending cash, one (1)Nintendo branded t-shirt, one (1) Nintendo DS Lite video game system and one (1) copy of Mario Bros. It's all so clear now...
(This is the part where I retroactively earn the two negative stars I got arbitrarily for thoughtful, innocuous previous comments)

AOL bought Weblogs, Inc. back in fall of 2005. Joystiq is a part of the Weblogs collection of blogs. Now even though AOL owns Weblogs, Weblogs still operates on its own. Otherwise we might have seen something like this:

It was him who was picketing the GDC wasn't it?

Exactly! We've been given explicit instructions from on high to never say anything negative about a company they may run a contest with in the future. That's why AOL bought Weblogs, Inc. Not because of the attraction to independent voices in the blogosphere... but because they wanted an outlet for propaganda!
Seriously though, we don't get editorial direction from AOL. They own a billion things, like planets and stuff. Sometimes it would be nice to exploit their muscle... get *our* hands on that revmote early. Droooooool. *cashes bonus check from AOL for pimping revmote*

I am so entering and praying to win.
A guy who was my best friend in junior high school won a Nintendo Power contest once. Round trip to texas to see Mortal Kombat live stage show, and he said they treated him like a king the whole time. The main lady who handled his trip went on to voice Princess Peach in Mario 64.

I will probably get a negative start for saying this. Now that I know that joystiq is owned by AOL which hates Microsoft since I don’t know when. I am sure that any negative comment against Nintendo will result in negative starts. (Starts are the method used by joystiq to invalidate or to nullify anyone’s comments).

Joystiq: put in a good word for me!!

You would have to be a COMPLETE douche to do that, after Nintendo flies you to E3 for free and gives you all that cool stuff and the opportunity of a lifetime (for a gamer, anyway).
