Downloadable content at Sony's E3 press conference [update 1]
We just finished registering for the big Sony PlayStation press conference to be delivered on Monday, May 8 in Culver City, California.
Along with the invite, Sony encouraged attendees to "bring your Playstation® Portable to the Press Event for acccess [sic] to downloadable content."
The distribution of the download will likely happen via Sony's PlayStation Spot kiosk that made an appearance at GDC.
Both Nintendo and Sony now offer content distribution to their respective portable gaming devices, but which will offer the best content for download this E3?
[Update 1: added a [sic].]

Does this means that you have to upgrade your firmware if you have not?

Hey maybe the PSP will finally have something good to play on it...
HA! I kid. Just kidding guys.
I own a PSP so I have every right to say it :-P

I must say, going to a Game Crazy to do the Nintendo DS Demo Download is what made me decided that I had to by Brain Age (well the $20 price really perked my interest). I'm sure Nintendo will have Demo Downloads at E3 too (zelda I hope). I would be very interested to know what they will be demoing on the PSP. Please someone get screenshots or at least some how keep your PSP powered with the demo so you can give a video perhaps of what's to come?

Hey, WipeOut Pure, not bad. I don't own a PSP since I'm a cheapskate (finally picked up San An for Xbox for a tenner (English sterling), did the same for the overrated Jade Empire a couple of months ago).
Daxter looks pretty neat, and Syphon Filter is an impressive techincal feat, though the machine still hasn't had a proper price drop (the Basic pack doesn't count since that's less value for money). Maybe once the first hardware revision comes I may buy one.

Did Sony misspell "acccess," or was that your own typo? If it was Sony's, I suggest throwing a [sic] in there. >>;

what an entirely un-attractive name. "PlayStation Spot"

Nintendo will have the best downloadable content... for both the DS and Revolution

So this is probably a move to casual games. I see a Brain Age like game or some ish like that. It can't be anything to big for us to download and it better not be a damn movie trailer.

The DS I know will have Legend Of Zelda: Phantom HourGlass for Download for sure and Brain Age also maybe Castlevania:Portrait of Ruin and Lost Magic for Sure. The DS will surely have better games then the PSP lets see the PSP top this list of Downloads for the DS I bet 1 million dollars it can't but realistcly I bet everyone $10 bucks the PSP downloads won't top that list if its there.

Nintendo will dominate the downloadable content at E3. The DS' downloads are not only quicker than the PSP's, but Nintendo's Hype engine is way higher than Sony's. A New Zelda, a new Castelvania!? where can Nintendo go wrong with those 2 aces.
also, i'm confused as to what a [sic] is or means, could somebody please enlighten me?

Sic is a Latin word meaning "thus" or "so." In writing, it is italicized and placed within square brackets [sic] to indicate that an incorrect or unusual spelling, phrase or other preceding quoted material is a verbatim reproduction of the original quoted material and is not a transcription error.

#10: I see what you mean, Nintendo is offering some hot demos, the only problem I see is that once you turn off the DS, the demos are gone. The PSP's demos stay on your memory card until you delete them.
#13: The flash player is a HUGE step forward for the PSP. Once flash developers(my self included) start to develop flash games that are designed and optimized for the PSP, the selection of high quality, free games will skyrocket.
