Apparently, that guy.

I tried the sims, and found out it just isn't for me. I really don't understand the appeal in it.

Who ever played the Sims?

My girlfriend still plays the Sims. The more these expansions come out, then less I get to see my comp. I would do anything to see her get off the pc and onto a console.

Depressing to see Elder Scrolls fall below The Sims. I've never really been able to get into those Sims' games. Somehow they make me feel "dirty."

THE SIMS ARE MADE OF PEOPLE!

How weird that people would play a game on a computer indoors where you can control a pseudo-AI character and have him flip virtual hot dogs on a virtual grill on the virtual deck of a virtual house that can serve as a virtual deathtrap by locking the virtual bathroom door.
Which is all I did in the Sims. I enjoyed watching those little freaks piss on themselves and starve to death in the bathroom because they couldn't unlock the bathroom door.

"Who ever played the Sims?"
Everybody who isn't a WOW-playing, funeral-crashing gaming geek.
As in, regular people with computers. This is the real market for computer games.

I played the Sims 2, but I never got very far. I always enjoyed setting some deathtrap, like removing the pool ladder just before a pool party so that a dozen Sims drowned. Or watching the house burn down and stopping a Sim everytime she tried to grab a fire extinguisher. I never wanted those virtual people to live happily!

I don't play WoW either.

Wow. I didn't expect the FFS expansion to knock of Elder Scrolls IV. I guess its because its retailing for 20 bux. I think the reason why so many people are willing to shell out money for this game (and the expansions) is for the sandbox factor. Only your imagination is the limit (and a stupid nude blur). The mod community has really come along and they continue to come out with new and interesting things almost every week.
I freakin' love playing the sims and I consider my self a beyond average gamer. Every single expansion pack I get the day it comes out. I was strongly considering getting an MMO like WOW, but when you hear of stories of people losing their jobs and friends to that time sink of a game, I couldn't take any chances.
