Star Trek: Legacy site launches

Bethesda Softworks has launched the official web site for Star Trek Legacy, an action-strategy title for the PC and Xbox 360 due in September. The Star Trek franchise has seen many similar titles from the Starfleet Command, Bridge Commander, and Armada series, but is due for a little next gen shake-up. Capt. Kirk once said, "In every revolution, there's one man with a vision," and Legacy's man is Mad Doc Software founder Dr. Ian Davis, who will bring his company's renowned AI to the latest Trek mission. Davis has said Legacy will feel like a squad-based shooter with space ships, while maintaining the traditional RTS and tactical elements. Fascinating!

Wow. This game looks absolutely amazing. I hope it plays as good as it looks.

If this game has gameplay and graphics that match Oblivion, it will be an absolute must have game.

Ugh, the ugly Excelsior-class refit. That was not an improvement.

I suppose the game is delevoping on the Oblivion's engine cause it's crossplatform and graphics looks nice. But in Oblivion there was green wood and what about free space? Pitty there are only art pictures no any screenshots :(

Wouldnt it be great if this turns out to be good? I remember loads of time wasted playing an old Star Trek TOS game that was made by interplay. That game used to rock out on my 386. Ive been waiting ever since then for a good trek game.

You mean the 25th Anniversery game? I loved that game, but could never beat the final mission with the other Enterprise.

A fun Startrek game with good visuals, action/strategy elements and involves Dr. Davis and the Oblivion engine...
'make it so'

I hope the first expansion is a Dominion War scenario! It'd be sweet to command the Jem'Hadar dreadnaught they tried to take on that one time.

Am I the only one that thinks they could do a better job, visually? DS9 is a brownish colour, not gray. and the borg ships don't look right... what's with the large solid panels on them. I hope it's a good game, but geez it looks crappy.

Does anyone understand why no one makes TOS games anymore? Not the movies either, the show. You'd think with "Enterprise" trying to save its life by introducing TOS elements and an entire community engaged in TOSing "Elite Force" there would be a large market.
I'm so freaking bored of Berman/Braga trek. And Legacy seems nothing but. There's a shot of the NX and yet no TOS shots. Are they trying to pretend it didn't exist?

Wow, someone needs to tell them that the drive nacelles on Excelsior class ships don't have the blue glow. I think I'll just sign up to their forums and...
(Who wants to bet that there's already a twenty page thread about it?)

Anyone see any Intrepid class, maybe Voyager?
