Link is controlled by the stylus the whole game. Watch how he follows the fairy (your cursor) during the whole GDC video.

yep, #2 is right. Watch the fairy when link kills the first bird in the video as well, it does a circle right as link does his spin attack.

Embrace the stylus my friend.

Yeah I remember someone saying the controls were like Animal Crossing: WW, where you could pick between the buttons or the stylus to control Link...

"Should not be born"? I'd translate that sentence will not be seen in Europe (literally will not see day/light) until 2007. And while "experience" can be experiment, ti should be experience in the translation.

:> Have a French speaking exam on Wednesday.

Looks great.

I'm thinking a simultaneous launch of Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess would be ideal, and what would really rock the boat, is if Nintendo did a "Nintendo Premium" pack, of the Wii w/Twilight Princess, and the DS lite w/Phantom Hourglass, in one package for cheaper than the 360 Premium.

We'd all know where the sales are going if that happens.

I'm almost looking forward to this one more than I am Twilight Princess. I keep forgetting that TP is even on the way to be honest - all those delays kinda make it fall out of my mind.

Reading that article just made me realise - man, my French is rusty...

The game looks awesome. I wish I knew what the Japanese text says from the scans. I'm curious as to why there is an image from A Link to the Past in there. I'd also like to know more about how puzzles are presented, they look very interesting. Especially the scan where the numbers 1-4 and the word "enemy" are handwritten; it looks like it has a little handwriting recognition a la Brain Age.

On a different note, doesn't Link look particularly young/girlish? It doesn't matter to me at all- and he looks the same as in WW in the in-game scans- I just think that was interesting. There is one screen that shows him as a young adult, though. I can't tell if that is an image from OOT (likely, since there is that image from LTtP) or something else.

You can bring the map onto the touch screen from the top and write info on it.

In one of the scans, Link is surrounded by other links, as if the four sword was being used...! And one of them is holding an hourglass....

Now, going out on a limb, here's what I think might be in this game:

Time travel again.

1. OoT link is in one of the pictures, possibly showing the similarities.
2. An hourglass is a time device, so perhaps you can give yourself more time with something, or you can turn it back.

Oh, and I just saw where it said wi-Fi over the four swords links. I guess that's just for the online multiplayer...

!!!! ONLINE MULTIPLAYER ZELDA !!!!

OH MY GOD!

I have a theory:

That games for the DS are glorified previews of what's to come on Wii. Just as Metroid Prime Hunters shows what we'll expect on Metroid Prime 3, so too Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for Twilight Princess. Come on, how coincidental is it for DS gamers to use the sytlus for swinging sword in Z:PH, just as you would with the controller in Z:TW for Wii?

benjamin, I don't think there's hand writing recognition. I think you can just draw on the maps to make notes.

Actually, in that picture with the multiple Links...
There are seven Links total. Not only is there a Yellow Link, but an Orange Link, too... And two Blue Links!? Maybe one's a light blue, and one slightly darker??

Though, I wonder if this is official art, or is something made by Nintendo Dream... While it is a similar style to that of TWW/FS/TMC... It's significantly different (look at a piece of TWW/FS/TMC art, and compare it to that. You'll see what I mean).
Something different about the eyes... And Link's legs look shorter...

Zaki; You're right in a way. Nintendo said they have been working on the Rev/Wii since just after the Cube's launch. Frankly they've had more realistic ways of interacting for a long time. Anything is better than pushing a button to punch, kick, teleport, shoot, go faster, slow down, jump, crouch etc...

All for this new wave of playing :) I've never, as a hardened HL2 addict with a good keyboard and mouse, has as much control over an FPS than I have with Metroid Hunters. Ditto for drawing a line that Kirby can travel along. I don't know what happened, but Nintendo found out how to make game interaction fresh again. and I for one cannot wait for Wii Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass. It's gonna be a bloody good game :)

This looks awesome. I can't wait for this game. Unlike a lot of people, I loved Wind Waker and the Celda style. This looks just as fun. The suggestion of the Wii/TP/DS/PH bundle is a great idea, but we'll probably never see it.

Online multiplayer could just be amazing. Like an multiplayer only mission or two that would detract from the main game but would add to it.
