Gee Nintendo, thanks for supporting your early freakin adopters.

Hope I don't buy the Wii and a month later it comes with a free SD card.

Is it really a noticable rumble? Or is it like those strange "rumble paks" some old GBC games had, that basically just rattled and buzzed? I've never met one first hand, so I wouldn't know.

Should held off buyin' Hunters...

Oh, and by the way... it says "Rumle" pak, not "Rumble" pak. Just thought you should know.

Cool little freebie, I'm glad I didn't pick up Metroid Prime Hunters yet though I already have one from Metroid Prime Pinball. Will they provide a free rumble pak to the many who already bought the game?

#2: The one included in Metroid Prime Pinball let out a little buzz that is really annoying when the volume is low or to others while you wear headphones. Its pretty much one of those Gameboy Color things that rumbled and buzzed, except maybe a little louder. I wouldn't pay money for a DS Rumble Pak but its a fun little battery power waster if you picked one up for free. It also matches the color of the bottom shell of the DS, so it looks a little more natural than a GBA game in the slot.

So...how much does that suck for those of us that have the game already? Nintendo...what's going on over there?

Do people actually notice rumble in their controllers these days?

I mean, sure when I first had starfox64 and I picked up an offbrand awesome rumble pack with a high setting... That shit kicked. But my PS2, Xbox, and 360... I don't even notice the rumble in games unless its a boring cutscene and I'm not paying attention.

It was a "fun" idea at the time, but I think force feedback is completely overrated and should be left out, like in the Cube.

Early adopters stuck in the butt again. I but Hunters the day it came out. The game isn't revolutionary (or is it "wiivolutionary"?), but it's fun enough. Wouldn't a rumble pack on that game put your aim off with the stylus, or is the "rumble" so light it wouldn't make a difference? I've never used a rumble pack with the DS. Sure wish I would have waited on Hunters, though.

@#1

Offering incentives to late adapters is the norm. Incentives are meant to entice people to buy the game that would not have otherwise. So why offer incentives to early adapters when they were planning to buy it anyway? O_o

Case in point:

1) The price of consoles go down as time goes by...sometimes even below cost

2) Once popular games are packaged with consoles or with other once popular games.

To offer these types of incentives right out of the gate is cost prohibitive.

Personally, I think this is a great buy for anyone that does not yet have the game. I don't like the fact that it will stick out of the DS lite either, but rumble feedback still adds enough to warrant the annoyance.

Any sign of a UK release on this one, by any chance?

I don't know if it'll be worth the expenditure though... I've heard conflicting reports on the "rumble"ness of the device.

as for the link... umm all it tells me is I'm not press??? isnt there a better link to be had? one that every joe blow can read?

I so don't notice the "rumble" while I play anymore. I guess this is thanks to Immersion hogging all the rights to the kind of haptic feedback that uses gyroscopes or something.

THAT was Nintendo's announcement?

I thought they were supposed to announce a date and price for the DS lite.

I'm hoping for DS Lite reduced-size version of the Rumble Pak as well. How many people are really going to use the current one with the DS Lite?

What kind of freaking message does this send to people who bought Metroid Prime Hunters when it was frigging released?

"THAT was Nintendo's announcement?

That's supposed to be May 4th. You're two days early.

I, for one, could care less about rumble for the DS. Like, the rumble for Wario Ware Twisted was very well done, and it helped make the twisting and turning feel more realistic, but I don't think Hunters NEEDS a rumble pak. I enjoy it already.

I have a DS lite and I hate using the rumble pack with it. It just makes a lot of noise (more than using it in a normal DS) and everytime it rumbles it feels like it's going to break your DS. I actually do like using it in my normal DS, even though I never use it anymore since the lite is just so much better.

Better yet, anyone have any idea where to pick up the new bundle? I was holding of on getting it, just because I've had plenty on my plate lately...
