Man, that's gonna be one hot event. How do you steam an entire briefing? Leave it to the creators of Cooking Mama to find that answer.
Derek @ May 2nd 2006 7:36PM
Dont you mean "stream E3 Briefing"?
Tristan @ May 2nd 2006 7:43PM
Hmm.... Can't wait.
Visit the site btw.... Click my name and have fun!

Joystiq = amatuers.
moomer @ May 2nd 2006 7:46PM
Didn't you hear? Nintendo's got support from valve and are broadcasting over Steam. Duh!
In other news, Gordon Frohman will be making a guest appearance at the mushroom kingdom.
You heard me.
Obvious @ May 2nd 2006 7:46PM
Wow, Valve is involved w/ Nintendo? ;)
Obvious @ May 2nd 2006 7:48PM
(dang, the comedic section of my brain and the posting speed of my browser are a second too late! Not to mention, they are both lame!)
Sean @ May 2nd 2006 7:49PM
Are there clams? Oysters? Brocolli? What are they going to be steaming?
Matt @ May 2nd 2006 7:50PM
Wow, reading an article on this site the first hour after being published is like reading a 2nd grader's report. Someone really has to tell you the difference between STEAM and STREAM? Once I would credit to fast typing, but twice? *sigh*
Chris Lawrance @ May 2nd 2006 7:51PM
Wow and I thought E3 would be hot enough this year. But here comes Nintendo. Their gonna kick it up a notch.
BAM
Jouten Za @ May 2nd 2006 7:53PM
Nintendo's new name for it's console put the proverbial 'chip on the shoulder'. I think the Wii is gonna really kick some ass now that it is the 'boy named sue'.
JodyAnthony @ May 2nd 2006 8:12PM
Joystiq, you seem to forget. you are supposed to be cyborgs and never make typos, remember?
seriously, not one comment in here (I know, including this one, so don't call me a hypocrite) about the actual post, just people thinking they are better than anyone because they notice a typo. bravo, fellas.
Chris Lawrance @ May 2nd 2006 8:20PM
alright, I'll admit commenting on "steaming" was a little out of my character on this blog. No harm intended, I really do live by joystiq. Still funny images come to mind of various nintendo characters in a kitchen.....I bet thats just me
I'll attempt to make contribute something with this post. Ok well thats pretty cool I think unfortunatly I dont live in New York. I've been to Nintendo Worlds website and it looks like a REALLY cool store. Kills me though they dont have one anywhere else. Chicago is about 2 hours away from me and I would defintly drive down their to hangout while keynotes are being presented. Anyone have any idea what the privy party is for? My guess is they got a couple Rev's stashed away and they'll be inviting people for a spin who weren't able to make it to E3.

So let me get this straight. I live in New York, and we have all of three big gaming events in the course of the year. But the week of E3, while I'm out in Los Angeles, Nintendo schedules an event in the city.
Awesome. Thanks guys.
elmer @ May 2nd 2006 8:39PM
Hey JodyAnthony, isn't this kind of (puneriffic) comedy what open comments are for?
I have a confession. Once every few months on random comments on random blogs, I annonomously type the immortal words:
"Phantom RULEZ!!!!!"
..and then retreat away into my shady mouse hole.
On another note, I was just saying to someone the other day how cool a Nintendo store would be on Regents Street in London. The same Regents street where the 7th Apple store was built, and they don't even have as many products. In fact the same Regents street where the one and only ill fated Gizmondo store briefly graced our small blue planet. And they had even less products. I have photographic evidence.
Please Nintendo, Please!
Oh mighty lords of gaming, displace the blue boarding that seals the vacuum of Gizmondo and replace it with our own portal to Nirvana. In the next week.

You guys bitch and moan over a simple typo. Give it a rest!
ImCowman @ May 2nd 2006 10:12PM
SWEEET! I got an invite!
but I cant go.....:(
Matthew Rader @ May 2nd 2006 10:19PM
I'm in NYC so I have to check this out. I wonder how early I should show up though. Hmmm.
Leomar @ May 2nd 2006 10:38PM
Not a big Nintendo Fanboy, but for giveways I'll be there.
The Mole @ May 2nd 2006 11:13PM
I don't know about the rest of you, but doesn't this seem a bit odd? It feels very Applesque. I mean, Apple streams many of their big media events to Europe and elsewhere. I haven't really known Nintendo (or many other companies other than Apple) to do this. Obviously with Nintendo's recent shift in strategy, they are following Apple's iPod playbook almost verbatim. It's somewhat bizarre really. All I know is that Nintendo would make such an event out of this if they weren't planning on announcing something big.
drcomp @ May 3rd 2006 1:02AM
Hi ImCowman - How did you get an invitation? I'll be in NYC and would love to go. Any chance I could use yours or find out where to get one? Thanks!
Chris @ May 3rd 2006 7:43AM
The invite also hints that the RSVP afterparty will allow hands-on time with the Wii.
Ephemeris @ May 3rd 2006 5:14PM
Got my invite and did the RSVP thing already. I noticed the hint as well...
Matthew Rader @ May 3rd 2006 7:31PM
How do you get invites?
bob @ May 5th 2006 6:27PM
I got an invite and I RSVPed 20 minutes after they sent it and they are telling me the events too full and I cant go. And about an hour befor I got that email telling me I cant come they put up a message on their website with the email to RSVP.....
WTF Nintendo!
