Ubisoft's E3 lineup
Ubisoft has been on a roll in
recent years, establishing itself as a major player in the gaming industry. The publisher's short, but sweet E3 lineup
is only looking to build on that near-impeccable reputation:- Assassin's Creed (PS3, Xbox 360)*
- Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
- Dark Messiah of Might & Magic (PC)
- Enchanted Arms (Xbox 360)
- Open Season (DS, GameCube, GBA, PC, PS2, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360)
- Rainbow Six Vegas (PS2, PS3,
Xbox, Xbox 360)
- Rayman Raving Rabbids (Wii and others)
- Red Steel (Wii)
- Splinter Cell Double Agent (GameCube, PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360)
*According to this list (via GameSpot), Assassin's Creed is still planned for the Xbox 360.

Hey, I'm sure Ubisoft is going to give us more games for E3 this year. They're the best game company imo.

Timesplitters?
*pumps fist* YESSSSS!!!
Sorry, I know it's derivative as hell, but I love that series. Can't wait for it on 360!

Thw Wiivolution is getting quite momentum!!! Red Steel from Ubi-Paris, Rayman4 from Ubi-Montpellier, I cant picture that Free-Radical game not appearing on Nintendo little wonder, add the game(s) Ubi-Montr?... I guess people saying that the Wii wouldn't get 3rd party support must feel a little dumb ;)

I wish SPlinter Cell was on Wii. It could really benefit from the controller.
the z triggers are jump/duck. A is context sensitive, and B is attack(double tap for lethal). D-pad is your visions, except for down which you hold to bring up your equipment list, point at what you want and release. A simple gesture pulls out whatever weapon is equipped, then the remote aims, a is your nonlethal attachment and B is bullets. A simple gesture to put it away again.

What I want to know is if Vegas can breathe some life into rainbow six. RS3 is what made me an xbox live fanboy and got me into console gaming again. I didn't enjoy the larger maps on black arrow, and lockdown was one of the worst/disappointing games I've played. I hope they get back to close quarters combat (GRAW camping is boring). Hell, if they re-released RS3 with better graphics and less glitches they'd get my money.

Gamespot might have a different version of the press release, but the one on Ubisoft's site doesn't list what platforms Assassin's Creed will be on, or what platforms most of the games will be on for that matter. Check it out:

I'm not saying it Assassin's Creed won't hit the 360, just that the press release doesn't confirm any platform at all.

Dude, I totally can't wait for Open Season on the C!! The last few games for C have been junk.
Think you mean PC there guys ;)

The list over at IGN, shows Assassin's Creed as only PS3... I wonder how it'll turn out.... roll on E3

Petey - "I guess people saying that the Wii wouldn't get 3rd party support must feel a little dumb ;)"
Was that sarcasm? It's hard to tell. Because it looks to me like Nintendo is having the same third party problems as they did with the N64 and GameCube.
Wii titles - 2
PS3 titles - 4
360 titles - 6 (plus most likely Rayman)
Jonn @ May 3rd 2006 5:58PM
Isn't that only a two-game gap between it and the PS3?
MartinG. @ May 3rd 2006 6:34PM
I thought Ubi was just making R6:Vegas for 360 and PS3. Either this info is wrong or OXM was just mis-informed. In the latest OXM, they state the following on page 42:
"You're the only one for me!
It's worth noting that neither the developers nor Ubi-soft are bothering with an original-xbox version. It's Xbox 360 or bust, baby. This trip to Vegas will be on a new-gen ticket only. Sure, some original-Xbox owners who've yet to make the leap to the 360 might be upset, but if we were only getting something on the level of Xbox GRAW, then we don't think you'll mind so much."
I hope Ubi just focuses on a next-gen release only. This is a chance for them to redeem the R6 series and I hope they don't screw up.

Theres no way that BIA will look the same on pc as it does on the 360 or ps3, not with that level of detail, you would need a 6000 machine, and 4 graphic cards running in SLI, so why are they bothering? Most people don't buy pc games, they download them, so why are they still catering to this niche market?
iceatcs @ May 3rd 2006 6:43PM
no, Wii might be flop because why they didn't have Open Season, Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway, Splinter Cell Double Agent, or Rainbow Six Vegas where those are play other 3 systems (PC, PS3 and xbox360)
Master X 24 @ May 3rd 2006 8:13PM
