Disappointingly few Ps3 titles. A boring line up non the less. Only promising title is Superman returns.

Well, it seems that there won't be much shown for PS3 and the Wii. I gues sthe bigger projects are either still under wraps or not yet ready to be shown.

Ah well, they'll come around in no time.

Yawntacular.

Outside of Spore, this is a sad and weak lineup.

Very weak if you consider that EA is the world's biggest publisher.

Yeah I was expecting more from EA but at least they have more 360 titles that any other console on that list.

Awesome.

This is the perfect chance to see how the Wii stacks up graphically against the competing systems.

Synikal if you think its all about graphics then just start saving for your ps3 now. The Wii will have graphics very simiar to the Gamecube, especially if you dont have a 420p TV.

The more intelligent among you who haven't fallen for the Tony Blair-esque spin from Microsoft and Sony may want to see the quality of the games.

I don't like Sony much.
I hate sports games, especially football.
I would never buy a Madden game.
I won't even consider buying a PS3.

Nevertheless, I'm excited to see Madden for the PS3 if for no other reason than to see if Sony will live up to their hype.

Madden for the Wii, however, sounds awesome after having read the interview with the developer on IGN. The Wii could get me started playing game genre's I haven't touched since the Sega Genesis. Check out http://revolution.ign.com/articles/703/703727p1.html and read about the control scheme then tell me if you don't agree.

"never-before-seen technology that delivers authentic athletic performance." - I'd bet any money that is an allusion to EA's newly licensed NaturalMotion technology they've hyped for the new Indiana Jones games.

It essentially will make the players bodies alive. Their bodies will be animated in real-time based on the exact situation and skeletal structure. There is no longer a tackle and falldown animation.

It's handled as a real-time collision where defensive player will be told to wrap up the the person with the ball, and his body will act accordingly. Every tackle will be different. The character being hit will react exactly in accordance to where the force is exerted on him by the tackler.

You guys get that??? :)

There isn't a "Catching animation" but the reciever will know that he is supposed to catch the ball with his hands so his hands will move towards the ball to catch it. Every animation will be unique. Or can be, it depends how far they want to take it.

I'm not a madden fan and still believe that ESPN 2K5 is the better game even now. But I'm very interested to see what EA has done with the Wii Version of Madden. Other than that, I could care less about that list.

Alensa:

Please, just shutup. I don't need any self righteous fanboys pontificating polemically about my integrity. You don't know me, you're just jumping to conclusions. I'll more than likely be getting a Wii regardless of how its graphics stack up to the competition, but graphics are indeed important to me ergo, I'm interested in what the Wii's capable of (and so is every other person eyeing the industry).

If graphics aren't important to you, that's spectacular, just don't go attempting to force feed that tripe down the throats of others that aren't brainwashed by Nintendo mantras.

Synikal, you fail to realise simple fact.

If anyone so much as mentions the word "graphics", or makes any attempt to "compare" "graphics", then they are automatically a biased fanboy against Nintendo, who care nothing about gameplay. It's been "proven" time and time again.

"Tetris (mobile)"

Did I miss something? Tetris has been on moibile phones for a LONG time. As a matter of fact, I have it on my phone (LG VX6000) and play it all the time.

Oh and even though Madden will play different on the Wii...it's till the same ol'e crappy Madden...so I could really care less.

So the Wii has specs nearly double that of the GC and you say it will only be able to produce "very similar" graphics? The GC rivaled the XBOX in graphics in a couple games, I'd expect the Wii to do about twice what the XBOX did.

i would like to hope that nintendo's Wii would at least give us the option of playing games in widescreen. I can deal with NO HD or component connections, but it doesn't take more graphic power to at least require developers to set widescreen as a user option across all games. i'm guessing at least 25% of US residents will have some form of widescreen tv's in the house & this will climb fast. having sidebars on a widescreen tv is crap when playing games at 4:3 ratio. any news on this would be great... :P

but graphics are important to an extent. Otherwise we'd all be playing Vectrex and Atari 2600 still. Has anyone seen Splinter Cell Double Agent or Test Drive Unlimited for the 360. Hooooollllly s#@t, they look gorgeous. But I'll never doubt the graphic splendor of the PS3 or the 360....I worry about the gameplay. As good as PGR3 looks, it's still PGR with a great new paint job. I'm an older gamer that has lived through 20+ years of gaming and I'm just getting weary of the same mechanics over and over with prettier dressings.

@PEYOTE: As you can see somewhere in benjamin's (~post 10) link, Madden for Wii will support both Widescreen and 480p. I have a nice HDTV at home, and I'm glad to hear it. EA said Nintendo wasn't forcing 480p/widescreen but was very helpful.

Who gives a crap! If it means that EA might actually...you know...make an ORIGINAL game then by all means stop making some of their current IPs.
