MEN WANTED FOR HAZARDOUS JOURNEY.
SMALL WAGES, BITTER COLD, LONG MONTHS OF COMPLETE DARKNESS, CONSTANT DANGER, SAFE RETURN DOUBTFUL. HONOR AND
RECOGNITION IN CASE OF SUCCESS.
Oops, wrong job ad. The real one is somewhat less glamorous, but a whole lot warmer and safer than the infamous Shackleton expedition. You'd be working on video game websites for the Ziff Davis Game Group, publishers of 1UP.com, Electronic Gaming Monthly, Computer Gaming World, Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine. If you apply, tell 'em Joystiq sent ya.
We don't normally post jobs to Joystiq (Joyjobs.com?!?) but there are a couple motivations here. One is just to point out how the game jobs market is hotting up second by second. We've been seeing our friends in and outside of gaming land great new gigs as game companies of all sorts hire for the next-generation console cycle now underway.
We're also posting it because we wanted to see if y'all are interested in additional content of this type. A dedicated job seeker shouldn't have any problem actually finding many more game job listings, but perhaps there's interest on a regular "breaking in to games" column?
Let us know!
