I have no idea what was being said, but the animation that accompanied the voicing was just priceless.

I'd have shot this douche in the face after listening to him for more than 2 minutes.

There's a rumor that this video, and a video where the same guild takes on Rag, are "fakes".

In this one he never loses it, but in the Rag fight about half way through it sounds like he starts to laugh, and has to catch himself before he keeps shouting.

Possibility, and I hope the rumour is true. Anybody who listens to him all night needs help.

"a game"

An activity providing entertainment or amusement; a pastime.

Man, this guy must have a satanic dictionary because his definition of a game is light years away from the rest of the planet.

He should put the 15$ a month fees aside for medical mental help.

This is soooo last month. A couple weeks before the Flash animation the live recording was circulating. The joke hasn't gotten kind of stale in our raiding parties now. Still funny, but hardly fresh or news.

Don't be too hard on these guys, Vlad. Some folks have nothing else to say, but feel like they need to contribute to the discussion. They're doing the best they can. ;)

Back on topic...

When I started taking Halo 2 a bit too seriously I gave it a break for 5 or 6 weeks. I returned to the game a more relaxed player. Sounds like this guy needs some time in detox.

ANd this is why I couldn't be a Warrior in wow any more. Saunder twice and don't get aggro? I mean did he totally miss 60 lvls as a warriors where the Mages yell "SAUNDER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SAUNDER AND TAUNT" All warriors do is slow dps, what the hell is this guy talking about. And don't let the boss dare have magic cause then we are stuck hitting stomp, shield bashing, and still trying to do dmg so all the clothies can just do AOE damage. Then the minute blizzard gives us something like buffed up enrage, all the classes yell "NERF" so they have it easy against us in PVP. THen yell like idiots when they get here. Man that was funny, "ONE IN A MILLION CHANCE!"

Last words, The Molten Core is Not fun, Nothing fun about it, matter of fact when I hit 60 the damn game became a job. I had to just back off, and play something else. Molten COre and Onxyia are just ways to prove your eliteness in the game, over anybody else who is lvl 60. At that point you pay 15 dollars for Blizzard to torture you! Damn it miss it!

The guy's name is "Dives" and he runs the guild. He's loud and offensive, but from what I've heard, a competent leader. This particular animation chronicles a fight where somebody "feared" a group of whelps. Whoever did this singlehandedly wiped the entire group, and Dives freaks out at him.

LOL Oddly enough benjamin this is horribly off topic, but I have a filipino friend and at parts learning that language was easier than WOW.

But sorry you are right, I kind of go into the language like a shell shocked marine when he hears a bottle shatter, hitting the ground and dodging mortar shots from the comfrot of my living room. Wow is a fun game try it no one will consider you and idiot. And the ones that do most time are jerks people avoid anyway.

To those of you that, like me, didn't understand half of the acronyms or terms, GameFAQs has a decent guide to just the terms.

http://dw.com.com/redir?asid=534914&astid=8&siteid=19&edid=107&destCat=40176&destURL=http%3A%2F%2Fdb.gamefaqs.com%2Fcomputer%2Fdoswin%2Ffile%2Fworld_of_warcraft_terms.txt

And I must say, I know people who have gotten that angry at games, especially Blizzard ones, and it's fun to watch. Blizzard has a way of bringing out the spawn of satan in all of us.

We play snippets of this over Teamspeak as we prep for Onyxia. It never, ever gets old.

I can tell you Onyxia is a real pain. We downed her for the first time two weeks ago (new guild, mostly new raiders), but last week we just kept getting wtfpwned by her for some reason, despite flawless execution.

Funny enough, after this clip hit the internets, the guild involved int hat Onyxia run got a surge of new applications. Most WoW players are masochists at heart.

docalien: I tried your link but got this message:

"You're seeing this error message because it appears that you're linking from an external site directly to one of the text files stored at GameFAQs. GameFAQs is not a free public file server. Bandwidth costs money, and when sites link directly to files stored on the site, it becomes both a financial and resource drain. We've tried asking, but some sites simply don't care, so now we've implemented a technical solution."

As if I were a webmaster intentionally trying to STEAL from them! What bottom-feeding ass monkeys!

Anyway, I'd love to see that guide... any idea how to find it the long way?

dots = damage over time
dps = massive damage per second
whelp groups = tiny powerful dragons

Badbob001, the entire raid wiped (got killed) because someone in the raid messed up, allowing Onyxia the dragon goddess to crush them all.

New take on an old favorite. This kid is precious to me.

If you don't know what he was freaking out about, I'll try to explain it.

The room you fight Onyxia in is shaped like a north/south oval. The only entrance to the room is crossing a bridge on the south point.

Here's where the explanation gets tricky. The bridge you cross goes over a sort of channel. In this channel, is probably a hundred whelp eggs. The channel runs like a horseshoe, up to about the midway point of the room on each side...a horseshoe of very quickly respawning whelp eggs, which will each spawn a whelp if you get too close to them. You can't normally see the eggs, except at the two "cave entrances" on each side of the oval, because the horseshoe is blocked by a wall...however, there is no ceiling on the whelp horseshoe.

That's the best description of the cave I can give...now for Onyxia's tactics..

Onyxia will fear everyone in the cave at random for two seconds...and she will do this often. The raid leader was screaming, because someone was standing too near one of the entrances to the whelp cave. That person got feared into the cave, and popped several eggs. So, the raid got, maybe a dozen or so whelps on them, which can cause quite a bit of damage if people don't know how to respond to them. This can cripple an Onyxia attempt if your raid isn't very experienced or well geared.

But that's not the worst thing she can do.

You may have heard "Child Patton" screaming to, "watch the tail." Onyxia has a tail swipe effect that can knock someone through the air, over the outer wall, and DEEP into the whelp cave. Whoever got kicked into the cave...they're dead...not from the fall, but from the two dozen, or more whelps, they just spawned on the raid. I've been the unfortunate soul punted into the whelp cave more than once, and I can tell ya, there's no worse feeling you'll have on a raid than having to warn the rest of the people you're with that they're about to be swarmed by 30 tiny, mean dragons.

The randomness of this fight is what keeps it interesting every time. I'm in a guild that farms Molten Core every week, and has taken down Nefarion in Blackwing Lair...and we still have the occasional wipe on Onyxia due to events like this. Of course, if our raid leader sounded like this kid, we would have gutted him a long time ago.

actually most of the members seem to be are very content since the member base is solid and there is not a lot of ppl leaving and if u check wow forums his guild members are defending him..

Seriously i scream only maybe 5% of the time. And mainly when people mess up repeatedly and needlessly.

Like when you plan to kill onyxia and clear moltencore 5 or so hours and end up wiping at onyxia for 2 hours because half the raid was watching tv "this is so easy". Someone was actually telling ppl to watch the match..

That is what happens when you get too elite. You get shouted at :D

This vid is a timeless classic, and i cant beleive you got the raid leader to comment on this thread =P

all the people that hate him, obviously havent spent hours of their lives trying to gain a level or get elite gear just to die the whole time and end up spending all your money to repair your broken items...

Of course i blame the Night elves for all of this... seems like a day doesnt go by without gettin camped by a 60 ne rogue....

It's obvious that most people who have commented this have never experienced the raid itself, but what is worse is it seems that the person who wrote the article seems semi oblivious to the raid itself.

"and usually takes hours upon hours of failed attempts before a group finally downs her for the first time."

- Which is not true, many groups first time can easily down onyxia in maybe 2 or 3 attempts, in under an hours worth of time. I have done this with a "Pug", or "Pick up group" before and had the instance cleared in 25 mins.

"The video that you're about to see captures the frustration of the Onyxia experience, showing just how emotional things can get when total party wipe follows total party wipe."

- I doubt you will EVER experience any party EVER who reacts like this on ANY occasion.

- All in all, it's just a funny video... so enjoy it. Don't take this as a serious experience that demonstrates what raids can be like after a wipe. Because that's simply NOT the case. I don't even vote this guy as worst raid leader, his strategy was great... but how he dealt with the wipe was bad. You could run into a lot worse situations, people not knowing how to encounter the boss running it. Atleast this guy knew what to do.

I rate the video 5/5.

I rate the article 2/5.
