they just add a wire because a lot of people outside of video games aren't familiar with wireless controllers, so it probably would have looked more like a remote to people who don't know a thing about technology.

48. 43. Here's the thing that I believe is pissing people off about Ransom-Wiley's posts: While a blog is in no way required to post news only, and is welcome to post humorous pieces whenever it's bloggers please, this post (and many other "humorous" posts JRW & Christopher Grant - now that guy's a moron!) is not well written, clever nor funny. It's groan-inducing at best. There are no redeeming qualities about this post. Whether Joystiq is obligated to post news only or not, news and speculation about videogames are the main reasons why people read the posts. If they to add some humor to the site well that's fine, but make sure that it's funny before posting it!

I'm sure Joysitq makes a certain amount of effort to ensure that their news posts are of a certain standard: That's why we see updates on posts whenever it's revealed that the info was correct, or has changed. How about updating this post to make it even remotely funny? Why not update it with a pic of Ransom-Wiley, so we can have at least one good laugh?

Care for some cheese with your whine?

-_- Seriously. Get off your high horse. The rest of us enjoy "Joysitq" just fine.
__________________________________________________

Who's "wine"ing now? If my whining about bad posts is lame, then what's your whining about bad comments? That's some kind of new sub-lame that hasn't even been termed yet!

Oh and you misspelled "-_-". You ninny.

@ 51 Blarry:

So I guess you'll accept that your comment was a bad one. I'll accept that. My main issue with your post is that you attack Ransom-Wiley on the basis of his looks. If that isn't puerile, I don't know what is.

>_>

i know this may be rediculous, and a lot of people have already had a whole lot to say about a seemingly insignificant blog item.... but perhaps the reason why they had wires is because you wouldn't have know what the hell they where doign other wise... i means its colored blobs... would have looked like they where playing with snow balls or something without the wire... they probabl made it the right way and where like "hmmm... this doesn't translate well, we should put wires in." and thats about that.

or i coudl be crazy. either way it's fine.

cheers :D

if you want to llok at inovation, nintendo come top, then sony.

the wii remote control is difrnt, cud b good cud b bad but is lookin 2 b good, yes inovation. sony been working on eye 2 for a while and inovation.

so i dont know why peter more said that xbox live is more inovating than both of them, when u can get everything on the xbox live in the last gen. pathetic

but personaly i don care much about inovation, for me driving in gran turismo 5 on the ps3 with those graphics jus fill me up.

I dont have any wired controllers so im not sure if the back usb's work with the controllers but i am 80% sure they do.

I agree. Sometimes in media work you do things to make them easily understood by the widest audience. Matt and Trey can afford any toys they desire and are likely well aware of the 360's wireless controllers. That doesn't mean they can expect the same level of familiarity by the audience and when you purposely do ultracrude animation those little visual hints are important.

I'm just glad you're no longer removing stars when someone says slow news day. We all know this is a blog. We do get it. But a blog, is a series of articles or comments, on the events or news of the day. Sometimes when people say slow news day they're not commenting on Joystiq, but rather that not a lot else of interest happened that day to blog about.

But anyway, I'm glad to see that Joystiq is understanding that comments are just personal opinions, and blogging is all about personal opinions.

And I personally think it's cool that South Park featured a 360, even though the controllers were wired. Thanks for the article, I did enjoy hearing about it.

Wasn't there a cool episode of South Park where Kenny is sent to heaven and battle the demons of the underworld on a golden PSP? Didn't that episode win an Oscar? I think it did, it was the one about the Terry Schiavo case. South Park is becoming the old-Simpsons now. Awesome.

I agree with what this guy said. Joystiq should get rid of the star system. Does Joystiq really have the power to tell us, and the rest of the world that our personal opinions aren't right in their eyes? Because if my opinionis viewed as "wrong" to someone, and if I can't say something without being viewed as a "rebel", then I should just pack up and move to Cuba.

"I thought the new episodes of South Park were on Wednesdays"
Yes they are on Wednesday but they also re-run thursday at like midnight (or at least that's how it is here) We get it right after the Colbert Report. Or, maybe Cartman just got the 'core' package. Besides the fact that animation video games looks silly without wires, the core package seems to be the most logical.

Stop getting so hyped up over someone's fun XD

I think we all know by now that the 360 is this years smallest hype, and that's the way it'll stay.

Actually, if you really pay attention, you'll see that Cartman was the one with the Xbox 360, and he only had one wired controller (Ha ha. Cartman got the Core unit!) and then the other boys at Stan's house were playing a different console with four controllers connected.

We never see the actual console, but it is most likely the Okama Gamesphere that Stan's mom bought them in the "Towelie" episode (episode 508). It had four wired controllers, if you remember.

So calm down. It's not a 360. It's just continuity, boys.
