Having this thing connect to the Wiimote is seriously wiitarded. It is begging to be a standalone wireless controller. It looks kind of uncomfortable to hold but probably not as bad as the GameCube one was. Also I am a bit unsure about the size of this thing. It looks to either have very large buttons (which is something Nintendo does often) or very small D-pad and sticks (which is another sin Nintendo is often guilty of).

I dont get the need for it since you can just use the gamecube control. Maybe its for people who dont have a cube, or maybe it offers its sensors along with it. Either way its alrite i guess, its got buttons and something to hold on to. I hate i pods though and nintendo is to i pod 'ish.

Stupid Joystiq!!! that IS NOT the shell controller... it is there retro gameing controller... for the virtual console? not a shell.. the shell is for people that want to use a more traditional controller on the Wii. Nintendo has not released a picture of it yet...

This is only the virtual console controller you morons. Be it, it does connect to the wii remote, but is only expected to be useful on the Virtual Console games. For you moron's to truly think that Nintendo has gone to make it the actual controller shell, you should shut up and maybe read a little more. IGN covered the Virtual Console controller exclusively and has all the answers. Silence your girly cries about the damn copying of a PS2 controller design and read. Whores.

This is indeed real as it was displayed by nintendo at E3. It plugs into the Wii Remote in the same place as the Nunchuk attachment. I've seen a picture of it connected. Nintendo kicks ass...
