Wii impressions: Bomberland

Bomberland on Wii did a decent job at sparking my interests. Rather than traditional Bomberman style gameplay, this title only contains mini games. The playable demo contains three; a tunnel race, a balancing game, and a shooter. The first two were lame. Either Hudson threw these together, or it's still too early to refine them. I almost didn't play the third game, which was a volcanic rock shooter, but I'm glad I did. I was shooting rocks left and right, from the hip, and even tried a Red Steel "tilted glock" motion while playing.
I'm not sure if my antics made the experience fun (which would obviously wear off quickly), or if Hudson is actually on to something. Let's hope for the latter.

These Joystiq previews are sounding repetetive and depressing about Nintendo's baby. You are almost screaming 'GIMMICK!' or 'WEEEEeeeee' down the toilet it goes!Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Blake, are you having the same Wii-mote connectivity problems that James Ransom-Wiley is having? I see that you had one post (Red Steel) where the controller seemed to go out of range. In all the rest of these posts, you have not mentioned anything. Is James having more problems than you?
(aside: Wi-Fi connection will not work in the presence of my cheap Verizon LG cell phone. I have to move the phone at least a yard away from my DS to get it to connect. This may be the cause of some of the problems.)

Isn't that one of the finalist shirts that didn't 'win'? Heh... That is the remake of the shirt that I wanted to win, i believe. Anyway, nice.
