Wii impressions: Final Furlong
Gimmick. Clutch the Wiimote in one hand, the nunchaku in the other, and shake your wrists up and down. You call that a game?Visually, there's nothing to hold your interest, and because all you need to do is shake, there's really no reason to watch the race. Is Namco Bandai targeting the blind demographic with this one?

Horse racing is popular in Japan. From what was rumored this is a Japan only title.

Sure it's simple, but it's damn fun, and their is strategy!
It's very disappointing when people only see things negatively for a certain company. But when another company releases TRAILERS, it's like the second coming of Christ.

Exactly how I felt overall, when I posted my impressions of all 3 press conferences.
I regret to report my initial fear with regard to Wii are becoming more true as the show progresses.
It's going to take a lot of effort and a lot of creativity to take this system beyond gimmickry.
