that being said. I'm really looking foward to this game. I know there are already other in-depth games out there with mech and such (planetside) but I've never gotten into one of them. It should be mighty fun to play this online.

I absolutely loved the original Enemy Territory and still play it from time to time. Being an engineer and contributing to the effort without just shooting at people was great, though more recent games (and hopefully this one) are giving that aspect more depth.

Also, the grenade launcher in ET must be the most satisfying weapon I've used in any FPS.

meh....
Even though it seems very cool ultimately I won't buy it cause it only supports 32 players. *yawn* I mean bf2 supports 64 as well as their upcoming bf2142. And for that matter joint ops supports 150 players for goodness sake. And how many does huxley support?
I'm sorry but they shouldn't call it quake wars they should just call it.....quake operations. Or quake special forces or something.
Its not much of a war with only 32 imo.

Quake Wars supports up to 64 players if you want to run that kind of server. As they said, 32 players is the sweet spot for any coordinated play, any more and it just degenerates into mass chaos (ALA BF2).
