There is a Joystick magazine in France, I guess the guy made a mistake when you say : "We are from Joystiq" if he is French...

Very good magazine (it used to be) but the website closed 4 years ago !

Well if you say joystick in a very bad French accent and then write it down it does look kinda like Joystiq. Well maybe...

No, We have a very popular PC Magazine here in France that is calle "Joystick" and their console counterpart "Joypad". They are like the french "Edge" if you want.

If he was American, this could be explained by the way France/Finland/Sweden/Denmark/Austria/Germany/Luxembourg/Spain/UK are all the same thing over there, conveniently encapsulated by the term 'Europe'.

I run a community website (http://www.cafzone.net) and a blog (http://www.cafzone.net/dotclear) too (where you'll find sometimes french versions of your news. :p)
