Interesting, maybe Sony can save the poor little PSP. Or at least try to save it....

Yes, it's called a webcam.
Go to bed if you're tired.

Oh nice. So this is one of those webcams, yet it doesn't have webcam functionality. And even if it does, I am sure everyone wants to see the facinating lives PSP owners live.

Right, so basically you don't know what it does at all yet you are already making judgements. Also, saying people don't want to see the 'fascinating' lives of PSP owners is incredibly stupid. They're not saying they'll broadcast this on a TV channel. It would be for friends to communicate. By your logic, all webcams are obviously pointless. Strange then that they sell in their millions. Deary me

i mean, this guy took a picture, and show actually the guy on the psp screen. compaies can hide stuff whether they wanted or not. i recently discovered from sony about the memory sticks pro that the maximum capacity of that stick is up to 32GB, thier recently taking out the 4GB later the 8GB, you people know why? cause its all about money!!!!!!! they want to give us stuff little by little over the time, and they gain money like that.
imagine sony actually sell the ultmate memory stick, like around $6200 US Dollars, will a person buy it? no
same thing with the camera, there just showing how many things a psp can do, later they'll show in commercials then at the same time they sell it.
thats how it is.

I have both the DS and the PSP, and it's the PSP that I feel like I have to treat like a baby. The DS feels solid, while the PSP might scratch if I hold it wrong.
How about releasing some games for the PSP instead of all these extras? I haven't found anything I want to play since Mega Man Maverick Hunter X (and the sad thing is that it's a remake of a 1991 game).

and wat exactly is going to be the use of this thing anyway? you have to hold the PSP so you cant really do any EyeToy stuff. i guess you could use it to make in-game models look like you (like in THUG:Remix where you can use a photo on the memorystick) or possibly like those new phone games that let you use your feet, but thats limited. other than that i really cant see any reason that you couldnt just take pics on a regular camera and put them on the memory stick. hopefully they will prove me wrong.

That's why Canon is the best handheld maker, and kodak is the best game developer.

You buy a cell phone to talk...then came the camera phone.
You buy a camera to take pictures...then came the video camera.
You buy a PSP to play games...then came the psp eye toy
People love add ons. They buy them like crazy. That is proof that just about any cool new toy for the PSP is going to be eatin up by the truckloads from consumers.
During the E3 Press Conference they said the camera was coming, voip functionality was coming, and GPS was coming...because they are smart.
They know it will sell and it will sell well if they do their part on functionality, ease of use, and marketing.

1) eye toy functionality
2) out do the nintendo's pictochat w/ webcam chat
3) possibly better resolution for less price
and most of all (and my personal favorite...)
4) a cheaper but still ok digital camera for people who don't have/can't afford a digital camera

First of all the PSP is sexy as hell. Me and my PSP frequent Victoria Secrets to buy the sony PSP lingerie accessories (sadly they do not match though, a yellow polka dot thong against jet black? please!) Secondly the PSP is not delicate, it's a brick, slap some mortar on there and you could build a house out of the damn things. I've dropped my PSP off the roof of my car, and gotten out of bed in the morning and stepped on the screen without scratching or damaging the thing. It = more solid than fuckin metal gear yo (sorry).
Yeah, there is definately a lack of good games for the PSP, but they are releasing them slowly. Street Fighter, Tekken, Loco Roco, Katamari, Metal Gear, etc. And your right MMMH is pretty much just a re release...Nintendo never re releases new versions of old games..........................moose.
The camera does definately look terminator-esc. None of the PSP accessories match than that's a definate problem. Although I do like walking around with my white headphones and having people come up to me like "hey you have an iPod, nice! I just got one too!" and then I'm all like...oh I'm sorry this is only a PSP, it can only play music, movies, browse the internet, play games, run homebrew emulators, store/display/take pictures, and make me coffee in the morning...............::SLAP::
(I know it has less space but who the "F" needs 60 gigs worth of music and videos on them at all times. srrrsly people.)
::Continues to make love to UMD tray (god it hurts!)::
