Molyneux's Fable 2 dance recital at E3
Lionhead Studios founder Peter Molyneux addressed the media at E3 this week, where he discussed his company's acquisition by Microsoft and the highly anticipated Fable 2. Unfortunately, the sequel to one of the Xbox's bestselling games is not quite demo-ready, and Molyneux wasn't exactly forthcoming on development details. Instead, he chose to focus on the importance of emotional engagement in Fable 2, one of the stronger elements in the original game.Molyneux did hint at the possible inclusion of an Xbox 360's friends list feature for his next action RPG, and is intrigued by Microsoft's new Live Anywhere technology, but again, he confirmed nothing. Throw us a friggin' bone here, Pete! At least we have a pretty trailer to look at.
Lionhead's other games include The Movies and Black & White 2.

I would imagine he's afraid to say anything after the massive hype-fest that was the original Fable. I bet he doesn't want that to happen again.

maybe he isnt saying anyhting because he learnd to shut his mouth this time, that way he cant promise stuff he cant deliver on.

"Molyneux wasn't exactly forthcoming on development details."
Isn't that a very good thing considering the Fable debaucle? At least he isn't claiming that you can feed corn to your pet dog and the next day you'll find corn laden crap in the back yard.

Yeah, I think it'd be good for Pete if he kept his yap shut about the game until it was nearly complete.
He makes good games, they just can't deliver what he so desperately wants them to deliver.

The comment about Live is cool. I thought one of the things lacking in Fable was the rivalries with other heroes. They were touched on in the story/dialog and a bit with Whisper but you didn't really get the sense that the Heroe's guild was anything more than you.

I'm a huge Fable fan and found the Fable 2 CG completely disappointing. I though Lionhead would have more class and show off actual gameplay footage, as early as it may have been. CG's do nothing for me, my wii one shrivels into the dark crevices of my jeans when I see it.

You can shoot an alligator in the head while your dandy friend salutes admiringly!
MUCH more important than "you're a naurty one, aren't you?"

this guy tells more lies than Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo combined

No pete don't listen to them. Just keep your mouth shut until you can show us prof in a demo. If he actually behaves I may end up buying this on launch day. If he hypes this game to early I will not.

I'm sure he later said that when played a certain way, Fable 2 will reveal the cure for AIDS.

He's going to talk when he's ready and i hope he doesn't over hype it, i can handle the truth just make the game fun!
Now after the love i had for the 1st fable i can't see any reason i won't by this one, the first one was one of the best open ended RPGs EVER!
