Some of us just got back from E3 here... feels almost strange to buy a new game after that.

Besides, the incredible awesomeness that is Guitar Hero 2 isn't out yet. I can't bring myself to buy anything that's not GH-related after playing that.

Buying it this week while it's on sale - and I don't even have a DS yet! (Getting a DS Lite in June.)

already checked EB... they don't have it in over here, yet. They said it was supposed to arrive later in the afternoon. I prepaid and then I checked Circuit City's flyer, they have it for $27 ($10 less than EB!) but they're not sellin till Tuesday... I think I'll just get mine today :P

Mines on import, be here a few days after you americans get it. Should be a right blast. coming out at the wrong time though. sooo much coursework to do... I just wish Nintendo would release that damn 4th trailer on their site.

Wait, what are these "sales" some of the commenters have mentioned? I reserved at Gamestop and as far as I know it will be $34 there. I want to pay $25 like #1!

I've been playing New SMB since last week. Thank goodness for a videogame-reviewing wife! It's a fun old-school romp, but don't expect major innovations. The blue-shell power-up ends up being more frustrating than its worth. Still, it's a nice nod to the past. Quite frankly, we haven't had a platformer this polished in over a decade.

Got it on pre-order! Cant wait!

Its preordered at EB! Its a no brainer to pick that one up :)

I think I want a DS just for this game... sad but true.

It's probably going to be the biggest game for console or handheld this summer. I'll drop by the EB store later today to see if they have it yet.

I forgot about this because of all the E3 excitement. Neato surprise.

And guys, don't pre-order games that will not be sold out. Don't encourage the retailers to allow pre-orders on games that will have hundreds of unopened copies sitting around WalMart store rooms. Even when they tell you that this game will be sold out, it won't be, so relax. This pre-ordering stuff is retarded marketing tactics to unnecessarily lock-in your sale with their store. Don't play their games.

I'm picking up my reserved copy today.

I cant decide if I want to wait for the DS lite or buy a DS now. Is the DS lite alot smaller?

I hesitate to say this after last time i bought a game from them and posted about it here (also the last time aside from today that i shopped there) but i got the game today at walmart. they usually seem to have new games on shelves on the ship date, whereas most other places dont have it on shelves until a day or two later.

(note: if people reading this hate walmart, i dont care. i've heard all the arguments against them, and i just don't care at all anymore. i dont shop there hardly ever, except for games, because i refuse to support gamestop/eb games until they start giving a semi-fair price toward trade-ins)

I'm with you Jody. It's all about instant gratification. If I can get it a day, or even 20 min. earlier, I'll drop the coin at Wal-Mart. I hate going to my local EB (where the employee is an idiot) and the game is sitting in the back and won't hit shelves until the next day. GRRRR.... Then they want to warranty my $20 used game....for like $5 or so (not sure if it's $5 I usually can't hear them over the gritting of my teeth at such a stupid suggestion).

I've bought this already too.

I hate Sprawl-Mart, but I'm not so moraly abject that I won't buy a game there. Heck, that's where I got my 360.

I ordered it on-line today it was $10 off at Best Buy in Canada and just got back from pre-ordering a DS Lite.

Now I'll just wait till June 11 to play it...

i thing im going to wait and see if nsmb will be packed in with the ds lite before i buy it with my ds phat.

Mine will be ready for me tomorrow at EB Games at the Sea-Tac Mall err.. The Commons. Paid off and everything! I cannot wait to step on a goomba.

My EB won't have it 'till tomorrow. I'll be getting it then. None of those other games sound like anything to care about.

my preorder on ebay got shipped today from hong kong. =D its weird that they got the US on the same day as its release in US.

it'll be a hard week or so before i get it. looks so awesome.

I'll be picking this up right after work. Thankfully most of the bigger stores in my area get Nintendo's games day-of instead of next-day. :)

I went over to the GameStop on Broadway and 8th (or 7th) today to see if it was on the shelves yet. The guy there said I should preorder it, as they already have 65 pre-orders and they will be getting enough stock to cover those orders and some in-store sales, but that they would probably run out. I'm sure that with the hundreds of game retailers here, you shouldn't have a problem. And the Nintendo store would seem to be a safe bet.

This is the very reason I am buying a DS Lite! I must have this!
