Yeah, I live in the UK too, and I filled this out, but I didn't see the "success" screen either. I geuss it'll be 8-12 weeks before I know if they actually sent it!

As for 48, whenever I sign up for american things and they ask me for my state, I usually just put my county-oxfordshire, and oxford under the city.

Yeah i had to type in 'NewZealand' without the space so it would fit. Pretty rooted form if you ask me.
Still, it will be interesting to see if this works, not very often you see internet offers applicable outside of the US.

This is great. I haven't had a gaming subscription since the heady days of Diehard Gamefan magazine, and what a joke that was. Does anyone else remember the days of missed issues, or getting three months at once?

Thankfully, I won't be paying for EGM and probably won't read it either. But, all the same, thanks for the tip, joystiq.

Thanks Joystiq. I almost paid for the subscription. I've been meaning to get one for about a month now. Thank goodness for procrastination.

fraz: I don't get it. Try to be a little less transparent? About what? About tipping our readers off to free stuff? Make your case, don't just shit and run.

Oh we all know Joystiq is owned by Ziff-Davis. Oh wait it's not. Maybe he's on LSD Chris, that would explain the paranoia.

Is it just me or are those some pretty old games they're competing with in the WCG?

8-10 weeks? Does that mean every issue will come two months late?

Seems like a bit of a waste of time for a gaming magazine, free or not.

TY Joystiq. I signed up this morning; My parents follow the Thompson train of though w/ games, so I had to buy off news stands. Now that is no more.

@ 48:

"Get a FREE subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly!"

...courtesy of WCG.

It is an EGM Sub. Then it says - "PLUS, once you've signed up for your free subscription to EGM, register with World Cyber Games USA! "

...like its some added /optional thing.

Don't worry about it, even if you don't get it, you've lost nothing cept a few seconds filling in a form.

:)
