New Neverwinter premium module available

And speaking of episodic content, BioWare has released the fifth premium module for their venerable Neverwinter Nights series. Infinite Dungeons finds you exploring the caverns of Undermountain in Waterdeep, and includes roughly 20 hours of gameplay for $8. Dungeons supports competitive and cooperative play for character levels 1-40, and also comes with six pre-generated epic character builds.
Obsidian's Neverwinter Nights 2 will be available in September.

20 hours? That doesn't sound very "Infinite" to me....

From the site:
"Hours of Gameplay - This one's so big, we don't even know how to categorize it. The primary quest unfolds over 20 hours of gameplay. When you're done with our dungeons, we give you the power to control your own."
Sounds like SSI's old Dungeon Hack.

I highly recommend watching the trailer. It's hilarious. What's so funny, you wonder? The voiceover talent they chose (or could afford). I think he's trying to sound intimidating, but it just doesn't work. I think it's the same guy that does every movie trailer. That's all I could picture while watching.
I think it actually made the game seem dull.

Some people complain about The Sequal black hole in games. I honestly believe it only exsits in Console games because you can't mod em. Look at NeverWinter Nights everyone enjoys those sequels extra story lines and looking forward to the next one. Sure smash bros has had some improvements since the 64 but its almost the same cept now its on the Wii control and Apparently Solid Snake is in his box

I would pay $8 for 20 more hours of gameplay. The problem with episodic content is it's so often not worth it... example: $2 Oblivion horse armor.
Also, their hours-per-buck (how I would rate episodic content) here is very good and other publishers should take note: 20/8 = 2.5 hours per buck spent. Compare that to HL2 Episode 2: 5/20 = 0.25 hours per buck.
This means that Bioware gives you TEN TIMES more for your money than Valve is. I like HL2, but Episodes 1, 2, and 3 should have been a single expansion pack - which should have retailed for about $20... but I digress.
NWN premium modules are setting a very good example.

Reggie, c'mon man. Just cuz you gots payed doesn't mean you should suddenly start trolling every Joystiq post. I love you (in that way, as well), but this is ridiculous.

Aw, man! Did Nintendo Kiddy get whacked? I was starting to enjoy it.
