No games released in the last 10-15 years are original concepts.

Super Monkey Ball was Marble Madness with shiny new graphics and simians. Katamari, ICO, Mario, Zelda you name it, it has been done before.

Bashing a game because it isnt revolutionary is not clever. for example, if you only bought revolutionary things, you would be reading this on an original Mac from the 1980s.

To #19, its amazing how dumb Sony fanboys are.
Sony didn't sell 100 million consoles, they SHIPPED 100 million and sold around 40 million, with about 25 million MAIN buyers. What I meant by MAIN buyers was, almost everyones PS2 broke, so they had to get replaced, doubling the figures for PS2 sales, which really, isn't that impressive because almost everyones PS2 was defective. Yawn, I don't see PS3 selling that many consoles this time, how many people can replace there 600 dollar console this time? While xbox sold around 20+ million, thats because everyones xbox didn't break, so really, the PS2's sales wernt that impressive at all, kinda disapointing for sony fanboys to be honest, now with the awesome xbox live and the much much better line up of games for the better console 360, I don't see how PS3 will win.

"Super Monkey Ball was Marble Madness with shiny new graphics and simians. Katamari, ICO, Mario, Zelda you name it, it has been done before."

That is true, though to some extent depending on which aspect you're talking about. ICO for example, is just a typical platformer, so why is it so critically acclaimed? It's because it did something platformers haven't done before or as well; provoking emotion, and that is somewhat 'innovative'.

"Sony didn't sell 100 million consoles, they SHIPPED 100 million and sold around 40 million, with about 25 million MAIN buyers. "

Yes, they shipped 101 million but why do you assume 60-80 million of those are on shelves or 1/2 of all the purchasers needed to return theirs? The Playstation's userbase is at a minimum 80 million. It's simply a fact you cannot deny regardless of how desperate you are to defend your console. I've had my Playstation 2 for more than 2 years now and there are no problems with it. The fact that 1 out of 2 PS2s is defective is completely hyperbole.

"While xbox sold around 20+ million, thats because everyones xbox didn't break, so really, the PS2's sales wernt that impressive at all, kinda disapointing for sony fanboys to be honest, now with the awesome xbox live and the much much better line up of games for the better console 360, I don't see how PS3 will win."

I don't see how you came to that conclusion. You're implying that because it sold -less-, none of the units were defective? That's some great logic there mate. I'll tell you what, XBOX LIVE is awesome. Completely awesome, and I am infact supporting the 360 over the Playstation 3 as Microsoft seems to have grasped the concept of good games rather than shove you in the face with all this technology crap, but that doesn't mean I can disregard the fact that the Playstation 2 utterly demolished last generation.

Too bad that 50 GB of content per game will be mostly CGI Cutscenes.

Some jackass used my nickname again. Don't believe I posted that! If anyone wanted to impersonate me, they *would* write intelligible comments, if you know what I mean.

"Sony didn't sell 100 million consoles, they SHIPPED 100 million and sold around 40 million, with about 25 million MAIN buyers."

And nobody laughed at you when you said this? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Holy shit... this is hilarious. Oh man, can't stop laughing and crying.

"What I meant by MAIN buyers was, almost everyones PS2 broke, so they had to get replaced, doubling the figures for PS2 sales, which really, isn't that impressive because almost everyones PS2 was defective."

Dude, more than 70% of Xboxes had to get something replaced (either the DVD reader, but mostly the power cord). And you call the PS2 defective? Pffff...

"Yawn,"

What's there to yawn about? That was hardly a sign of wit.

"I don't see PS3 selling that many consoles this time, how many people can replace there 600 dollar console this time? While xbox sold around 20+ million, thats because everyones xbox didn't break,"

Actually, the Gamecube sold more than the Xbox of all the Xboxes that had to be bought again because of the "Thompson" fiasco. It was about 11% of Xboxes, so do your math and see how the gamecube outsold Xbox (or at least, tied).

"so really, the PS2's sales wernt that impressive at all, kinda disapointing for sony fanboys to be honest, now with the awesome xbox live and the much much better line up of games for the better console 360, I don't see how PS3 will win."

Dude... I can't really believe you "think" that way. PS2 has *sold* already the 100 million consoles. The defect rate of the PS2 is similar to that of the Xbox DVD failure rate (I'm not counting how many Xbox power cords had to be replaced though).

Keep up the great work. Couldn't have laughed harder.
