Indie incidents in the month of May
Partially as a rebuke to an earlier article on the subject of the sparsity of indie game releases and partially because they can, Gametunnel has posted an article featuring just over ten reviews of independent games released this month. The titles reviewed range from Lux, a Risk-type game that features several scenarios based on historical battles (if you're a Risk fan, drop everything and download this game immediately) to Eets, a "solid and original puzzle game."An fun little indie game that I discovered recently is Open Fire, a casual point-and-click shooter which was released a few days ago. What indie games have you discovered lately?
[Thanks, Russell Carroll]

Booster Logic is really two games in one. Booster is a pretty solid platformer while Logic is puzzle based. Logic is my favorite at the moment and the design is addicting. Booster has Internet multiplayer functionality to boot, but it struggles with lag at the moment. A new patch should clear that up soon. Anyway, check it out, it's pretty sweet.

You cannot miss Within a Deep Forest, intuitive game play and a challenging, but not impossible difficulty level blend with beautiful graphics to make an amazing (and free) game.

I don't know what the line is between indie games and the other catigory, but this is an awesome game I came by that seems to be pretty low profile, as far as I can tell.

Damn, Lux that Risk-type game is one helluva fun game. Spend the last two hours with it. Especially funny to see the enemies bombarding each other when you got erased from the battlefield.

Actually GameTunnel have been around for ages and are always posting indie game reviews (and do a great job for the "indie-scene"), reviews, of which there are plenty around. There are also more than enough indie games if you know where to look and that includes direct sales devs as well as portals! :)

Recently jacked Bizarrio (not new but a really bizarrly perverted Sup Mario Bros) into my gbamp. I dig that one even though it's almost exactly like the original. But I still don't know what the hell to do with Mario's Time Machine.
