Why the hell would someone want to play as Toad?

For the 2 other characters it's a tough choice but i would have to say sonic and knuckles.I'll be pretty f****** happy if you put cloud in there, he's awesome.I don't think you should put leon in there,he's aewsome but it kinda sucks with the no gun thing.

Nemisis and Tyrant from Resident Evil, i think we need cool looking characters not just cartoonish characters.

Well... As some people are commenting on various companies, I guess I'll do the same.

Capcom - While it's almost certain that Megaman will be there, no one knows which Megaman. I suppose it's likely that they'll add the original one, although I'd actually prefer the X version, and if you could change into Zero (like Zelda/Sheik) it'd just be awesome... As for other games, I think Leon would help to balance the “out of place” feeling of Snake… I’d also love to see Ryu from the Breath of Fire series, and I think Viewtiful Joe is almost perfect for the game…

Namco - Ok, I’m sorry, but Pac-Man just can’t be there… However, there are many other series from which they could take some characters. Particularly, Kalas from Baten Kaitos seems pretty… appropriate… as Baten Kaitos is a very representative title amongst GCN’s RPG’s, AND it’s one of the few GameCube exclusive “important” games, aside from those of Nintendo itself, of course. Also, a character from the Tales series (started in the SNES), sounds good. At any rate, Namco really should lend some character, if not to reciprocate the fact that Link was in Soul Calibur II, at least to atone for taking away the exclusivity of Tales of Symphonia!!

Sega - Yes… Yes. Yes. We know he’ll be there (please don’t ask who…), so this part is almost pointless… Of course I’d love someone from Skies of Arcadia… But that’s not an “original Nintendo-console title”, so it’s maybe impossible… But neither is… Him…

Konami - We have Snake, so maybe it’s too much to ask for someone else… but you have to admit that it’d be really nice to have Simon Belmont in there… And I’m not sure about this, but doesn’t Konami have the rights for Yu-Gi-Oh? I know it may sound absurd, but maybe a Dark Magician or something would be interesting… Or at least, fun…

Square - Enix-Well… What can I say about this one…? Ok. As much as I loved FFVII, I would never expect to see Cloud or any other character from the game, and the same goes for Squall (named Leon in Kingdom Hearts) and any other FFVII+ character. Actually, my favorite FF (and so far RPG) is VI, and my favorite RPG character ever is Terra/Tina so if she was in SSBB, I would actually cry in happiness… But you know that Square-Enix is just mean to Nintendo fans, so if any FF character makes it’s way in, it’ll be from Crystal Chronicles, or Tactics Advance (not even Tactics, Tactis Advance). Seen from that point of view, maybe a Chrono Trigger or Mana (Sword of Mana’s Heroine, please!) character would be a little more possible… On the other side, there are also the characters from Dragon Warrior/Quest, Star Ocean, or Terranigma… But Square-Enix is evil! They’ll not do it, and you know it!! And please, don’t let some Kingdom Hearts child get into the game, please!! As for me, I’m happy with just the fact that Nobuo Uematsu made the main theme, even if he’s not with Square-Enix anymore.

Nintendo - Finally, the “host”… With the inclusion of Pit and the Meta-Knight, I’m almost completely happy with the company’s characters. However, I think It’d be really fun if they put a Boo there… Also, Wind Waker Link should be there, even if he replaced Young Link. Maybe someone from Wave Race, 1080 Snowboard, or Pilotwings, and some girl from Fire Emblem… And, to end (almost) my comment with more RPG characters, they have to put someone from Golden Sun in Brawl!!

To end this post, on a side note, if someone from Golden Sun, Baten Kaitos, or the Tales series actually made it in, it would probably mean Motoi Sakuraba adding some battle theme to the game, which would make three of my favorite VGM composers (with Uematsu and Koji Kondo) working for the same game… If only there was a way to add Kenji Ito…

Mega Man has a fairly good chance of making it to the series. And very happy that would make me. The Blue Bomber is one of the most widely recognized Capcom characters of all time, anyway, so how could he not be put in?

It'd also tickle my fancy to see Sonic in there, yet I see a lot of other suggestions floating around here that would get wider appreciation, really.

*claps* THANK you. Someone else finally had the balls to say it. Not that I think he's the worst, mind you, but this constant fanboyism in the world around me is seriously starting to piss me off.

For the person who said "put in an FFVI character"... I've never heard such a godly answer. Personally, I'd buy the game out of sheer PRINCIPLE if Terra or Celes were in the game. Even if they were merely downloadable duds through the WiiConnect24. I'd still get it, no questions asked.

On a side note, if they dump Fox McCloud from the lineup completely, and he ISN'T retrievable via WiiConnect24... I'm gonna start a bloody riot.

I think Sonic is a terrible choice for SSBB...he wouldn't fit in the game very well, all though it would be nice to see a Green Hill stage, so I'm 50-50 on that.
I say NO CAPCOM CHARACTERS! Especially Mega Man! He'd be a Samus clone.
Finally, if they put in Square charcters, put in Cloud or Sora...or even better, Sephiroth as a charcter!

Cloud and Sephiroth cannot be in this game. and what makes you think Mega Man would be a Samus clone? just because both have Arm Cannons?

If anything I`d like to see Dante from Devil May Cry. Of course Sonic`s going to be in there too, there`s such a high demand. The only doubt would be that we`re the only country who wants him. If they get rid of anybody it should be the ice climbers. Jigglypuff kicked ash with Giga Bowser and what`s so great about Pichu? He gains percentage without getting hurt and you already have Pikachu! If you want speed, you have Caption Falcon and possibly Sonic. What really makes me laugh and cry at the same time is that some people want such out-of-the-question characters. You can`t please everybody, and I hate when people say things like "If they get rid of Marth, I`m going to send so many hate emails that they`ll have to bring him back," Who doesn`t hate that? I actually saw a person asking for American Dragon and Winnie the Pooh. Sure, I`d love some Yuyu Hakusho in there, but there`s no way! STOP WHINING!!!

How about CONKER and GREGG. Also IKE from Fire Emblem:Path of Radiance.If I could ask,can every character have 2 Super Specials?

Well, I think there should be a site where people can list all the suggested characters. Aside from that I think Sora, Sonic, and Fox should be in there.

The new Smash Bros would be way much cooler if they were to put Sora from Squaresoft or Dante from Devil May Cry or maybe even Cloud from FF VII......that would be awsome for the characters.

IT would be so cool to have dante from capcom and sora from square enix up in ssbb....those would be great additions to the characters....dont u guys think so???...and they are very well known so it would be cool....

Okay. First off I agree with whoever put "sonic woul dbe goo but he wouldnt have much of moves list". My opinion they should keep both marth and roy (My two best characters)expecially Roy, slower and less agle than marth but way stronger. I agrre with pichu And link leaving. Mewtwo is actually a cool characters but he IS all sorts of suck. They shuld power up his moves... change some and make him less light (he gets sent flying too easly, makes pikachu look like ganondorf in wieght sometimes :p)I think good additions Should be nightmare From soul calibur 2 Hey link was in the Gc version of it so why not make nightmare to go after linkt o kill him. That includes all of the trophies and Bonus titles (that you get at the end of Classic, adventure, all-star, and even vs. matches.) I seriously doubt that people like Gandalf The white or Earth worm Jim would be in the game. But i love the scorpion from MK idea. Ive been to MANY sites about SSBB like ign, wikipedia, Smashbros, and MANY more. I actually think waluigi might have a good chance of getting in the game. I hope they add more pokemon. There is no reason why Riachu, blaziken and Hitmonchan cant be a smash bro. I can think of a full move set for all of them but blaziken has the best one. Deoxys would be cool. His super smash move should be Psyco boost or something and can use teleport for his b up move like mew two. Ive put A LOT of thought into it. And Nightmare from Sc2 has been ringing in my head the Longest and most.....

Personally, Id like to see cloudstrife, Just so I could shut all those FF 7 fanboys up, With a Good ole, Hylian Beat down, Triforce style, Im sure some of you have had those same thoughts, Sonic vs mario? no, Link Vs Cloud!

Marth and Roy should stay in. If it weren't for them,
most people outside of Japan wouldn't know about Fire Emblem.

As for characters I want, they need some more FE characters. I don't want Mia, from PoR. For Rekka no Ken, I can't actually think of anybody who ISN'T a swordsman. Maybe...Karel, Pent, Guy or Karla. For Sacred Stones, I want Ephraim. And for PoR...meh, Ike's all right.

I dont see why every one hates roy. He is like the coolest person in the game. Everybody says he sould leave. HE HAS THE STRONGEST MOVE IN THEGAME THAT DOESNT HAVE TO DO WITH REFLECTORS AND OIL SPILL! Also he is really fast even though is is slower than marth. His b and up move is way better than marths. Neither of them should leave but id rather marth then roy.

I've googled some information about Brawl. Aside from the 5 confirmed characters that appeared in the trailer, there is almost a definite chance that other newcomers will be added. Some have even been confirmed. What i found so far...

3)Ridley from Metroid
4)Baby Bowser
5)Diddy Kong
6)Krystal from Starfox Adventures

Other characters i have heard are possibilities...

1)Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog
2)Koopa-Troopa from Super Mario Series
3)Mega-Man
4)Sora or Riku from Kingdom Hearts Series (It was on GBA, its a strong possibility)
5)Another pokemon. Charmander had the strongest buzz around him.

I also found a site that said there are definite characters leaving the game. 3 have been confirmed so far...

Geno would be amazing but u could not imagine how is moves would work. If they were to take out clones they shud only really take out...

I really hope they keep Zelda and the ability to transform to Sheik. If they become sep. characters, I will be kind of mad. KEEP THE FIRE EMBLEM CHARACTERS!!!

I think that the clones should be dropped or turned into Zelda/Sheik transformations. Plus, all the characters would have two or three super smash attacks.

Link: Triforce Attack and Wolf Morph
Kirby: Cook and Crash
Pikachu: Thunderstorm and Zap Cannon
Samus: Phazon Beam and Metroid Swarm

I hope they will put deoxys, Ike, Black Knight, mewtwo for first party charectors. for second party charectors they are Naruto, phoniex Wright, Dark Magician Girl(personal favorite.) , Megaman, And of course the last ones are Ryo from Street Fighter and Viewful Joe.

They should put everyone in ssmb back in brawl but all the clones should have new moves. They should also put waluigi, toad, koopa, kid bowser,sonic,knuckels, shadow mario,and of course PAC MAN!!!!! Megaman would be a cool addition but i dont really care about him so much.
