It is true, but unlike 360 games your personal playlist will be battling it out with the games soundtrack. At least thats how it was when playing Sonic Mega Collection.

I discovered this when i played Halo2 the day of the update...

Unfortunately, mine stops the custom soundtrack after i sign into Live in backwards compatablilty...

I'll check on that. Maybe starting a Live connection stops the playlist.

Once I logged into Live Backwards Compat, my music stopped playing too.

@ #2

You do know that you can go into OPTIONS and turn off in-game music on almost any game made today, don't you?

Turn up the volume in the xbox 360 guide before you start the bc game to have the volume higher than the game volume

sounds interesting. Does anyone else see a "dashboard now available while playing backwards compatible games" in the fall update?

Kinda funny when I posted this on the Xbox Users Group forums yesterday and it shows up on here today. I think he may have taken this from my post. Cause when I posted this in the forums no one knew about this. So Josh whoever you are give the credit.

The music must be played off your hard drive or a mp3 player cause your 360 loses connection to your computer when you go to a bc game. So just use those two things. Kinda funny how I know all of these things.

Tristan,

I'm honored you think your little post on some other forum let to this being "credited" to me, or that you somehow deserve the credit for Microsoft's coding efforts. However, I'm sorry to burst your bubble by letting you know just as this post says, I discovered it purely by accident and hit that little "Send us news tips" on the link column on the right.

Also get your facts straight. I noticed this on Tuesday when the update went up, which was the 6th, which is the same day I sent in the tip. You are saying you posted it on the 7th...

KTHX!
