Rare's Jetpac rumored for Xbox Live Arcade
Eurogamer reports that the 1983 classic Jetpac could be in the works for Xbox Live Arcade. This simple title (the original version was just 16 KB), was created by legendary developer Rare, known then as Ultimate Play the Game, for the ZX Spectrum. Jetpac was reintroduced to the gaming public in 1999 as an unlockable extra in Rare's Donkey Kong 64.Will Jetpac fly as a standalone Xbox Live Arcade title? For some, sure, but maybe Microsoft should rethink XBLA's current pricing structure. Jetpac would be a lot more attractive if it was part of a 400-point ($5) bundle with 2–4 other super-retro games.

how about we get a rumor (or hell, confirmation) on a POKER game for XBLA!!

There does appear to be a lot of rumored titles, but where are they. After 6 months of listening to all the great titles that will be available soon, all we have to show for it is Robotron 2084, Gauntlet, Smash TV and Joust. Where are the real classic titles. Where is Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II (any version), Dig Dug, Mario Bros (how cool would that be), Galaga, or even Space Invaders. I cannot imagine all these games would be so hard to port over. They have been ported to every platform in existence to far.
I love Xbox Live, but they need more content...and now.

will be better than any current/upcoming regular Rare 360 games

It'll have more depth than current g- Damn, Jimmy, you took my line! I KNEW somebody was going to say that sooner or later!
That said, nothing will ever, ever beat the good NES classics of the day. Virtual Console FTW.

On a technical level it can't be *that* hard to deliver these old games to Xbox Live - it's not like there's that much code to begin with. How much is there involved in tacking on the modest graphical updates, or the Live multiplayer?
I just can't imagine that the delay is in any logistics of programming, or that they'd deliberately put off content that paying customers are hungry for. And it can't be a legal delay, or they wouldn't have announced the titles at all. So what gives?

"3. how about we get a rumor (or hell, confirmation) on a POKER game for XBLA!!"
Not only is a poker game coming, but it'll be FREE.

Just being a past owner of every Ultimate Play the Game game ever made, I personally cannot wait to revisit my childhood and play this game again.
I actually miss my spectrum and have seriously thought about buying another from ebay.

I'm glad I own DK64, because this is an awesome game, and I don't have a 360.

Rare has quite a few classic titles worth bringing to XBLA but the ones I would like to see more than any others are RC Pro Am and Cobra Triangle.

Hows bout we vote. My pics for most wanted classics are:
SMB; Goonies (NES); Ninja Gaiden I; ROS (SS); Road Rash; Ninja Spirit; JJ&Jeff (Kato&Ken); Actraiser; Kid Icarus; Metroid; FFVII; superr mario world; UAKM (Access); Kings Quest 6; insanity (dos)

The games were included as playable extra's in games like Donkey Kong 64. Now they want us to pay 5$ on top of the 60$ the games cost for something that was once for free.

How about Killer Instinct?
