Exclusive footage from the "Lost" game

This Lost game is shaping up to be a real looker, if a little repetitive. If you're not a fan of the series, check out this link for an explanation.
[Thanks, Nushio]

MMMMM
interesting stuff
well if they make a sucky tv show into a good game, they have my respect
Khaled @ Jun 9th 2006 7:01AM
You're a sucky tv show.
Jay @ Jun 9th 2006 7:05AM
Whoa, he's a bad host. He's spoiled my day.
Timkell @ Jun 9th 2006 7:11AM
Woah that was just too funny, top class comedy if ever I've seen it. "Take that numbers", ya.......real good stuff.
Hervard @ Jun 9th 2006 7:16AM
That's just not funny, Joystiq.
Vazel @ Jun 9th 2006 7:27AM
Don't any of you watch the show? This is funny.
J00n @ Jun 9th 2006 7:30AM
yeah your all obviously too cool to apperciate real comedy when you see it
Ianc02 @ Jun 9th 2006 7:31AM
Very funny indeed. lol lost.
Insomnia Bob @ Jun 9th 2006 7:53AM
That loud "SMACK!" that was just heard in the entire northern hemisphere was me, smacking my hand to my forehead at the speed of sound.
...can't blame the guy for trying, I guess.
D-Mented @ Jun 9th 2006 8:13AM
LOL!
That was pretty funny!
Hervard, have you seen the show?
Doug the Aquacell Guy @ Jun 9th 2006 8:22AM
I've never even seen Lost and I thought it was funny.
Jay @ Jun 9th 2006 8:39AM
Real comedy? that was contrived drivel. So formulatic and really, really not funny. For funny hosts watch Jonathan Ross, for funny 'fiction' watch Alan Partridge.
Clay @ Jun 9th 2006 9:23AM
Hah, that was really rather funny.
spoo @ Jun 9th 2006 9:28AM
@Jay
Ummm, I know the Kimmel show is not the best humor out there but this skit made me laugh. I'm a big fan of Lost and it was a good skit. Just because it isn't from the UK doesn't make it not funny. Throw some british accents on the skit and put a BBC seal on the corner and you would be claiming it was the greatest thing since Monty Python.
Jason @ Jun 9th 2006 9:28AM
Hehe :) Funny stuff.
chris @ Jun 9th 2006 9:29AM
Thank you, Jay, for letting us know what REAL comedy is. Do you also suggest we watch Woody Allen and Jerry Lewis movies?
ck @ Jun 9th 2006 9:31AM
Jimmy Kimmell has his moments - he's WAY better than that egotistical smarmy Craig Kilbourne. And he's better than Leno or Letterman right now.
But that was funny for people who like the show. An easy joke to make, but somebody's got to do it.
futurebiblehero @ Jun 9th 2006 9:41AM
As a fan of the show (Lost), I found that pretty damned amusing. Then again I'm an imbecile that doesn't know true comedy and is evidently a slave to network television; perhaps some intellectual could come to the rescue and lead me to some Bunuel, Godard, Herzog, Fellini or anything of the sort? Please?
johnrowland @ Jun 9th 2006 9:51AM
NiGHTS Into Dreams, onto wii
pick up you demo
they put out too much in fomation
Evil Inside @ Jun 9th 2006 10:05AM
This is awesome.
Productivity levels are dropping at offices around the world with this one.
haman @ Jun 9th 2006 11:03AM
i agree with futurebiblehero, he IS a fan of the show. the skit was funny, and if kimmel is corporate-network humor, then i'm a corporate-network laughing bi-partisan of it! ...or something.
Cottonball @ Jun 9th 2006 11:10AM
I guess I'm a dummy cuz I thought it was funny.
/Poet, doesn't no it.
Andreas Berg @ Jun 9th 2006 11:26AM
I also lost a game once but it was not the lost game. Well, as I did not understand the lost show (I've only seen it twice, so maybe that was the reason), I will not miss the lost games either.
Rare Hare @ Jun 9th 2006 12:07PM
Ok, anyone who doesn't like Lost and/or didn't think that was funny needs to take the rock they've been hiding under and bash themselves repeatedly in the head with it. It's like A1 steak sauce.. yeah, it's that important, bitch.
chris @ Jun 9th 2006 12:38PM
I guess you have to be a fan of the show to get this joke, i have never seen the show, so i do not understand the joke, but the skit itself was pretty funny.
Franklin @ Jun 9th 2006 1:00PM
Hasn't anybody made a screensaver yet based on entering the numbers? Sounds fairly simple to make: The screensaver pops up a green monochrome Apple II monitor screen, then every 108 minutes you gotta enter the numbers. Otherwise, the alarm sounds and the hieroglyphics appear, and the entire screen fades to white and "cracks".
Your Right @ Jun 9th 2006 1:02PM
that was freaking halarious. I usualy show my brother these funny jokes, but hes not a lost watcher. And unless your a lost watcher, this joke wouldent be that funny. If you do watch lost, and have seen every episode of season 1 and 2.. Theres no way you could not find this joke funny.
Also, don't be shocked if the REAL lost video game which is coming out later, will actually have you type the numbers in at least once in the game lol.
vidGuy @ Jun 9th 2006 1:20PM
Ever since the game was announced this joke has been made... but it was still funny to see it act out.
For anyone that doesn't watch the show: if you are interested in TV programing of any kind, I think you owe it to yourself to rent the first disc of the first season. Don't jump into the show mid-season 2 or early season 3, you won't understand what's going on and you won't enjoy it (it'd be like jumping into a play in the 2nd act, it's that complicated). LOST is a great action/adventure/drama, the best on now or in the past ten years, in my opinion. The show does a great job of making you think, and part of the fun is talking about theories and predictions with friends or on message boards. It's supposed to run a total of 4 or 5 seasons.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing the game. I think it would work out well like a Resident Evil / Silent Hill survival/puzzle game. And yes, I'm sure a fight with the Others and entering the numbers will be in it!
And as a side note, my brother is really into the show. I programmed a hatch computer program that runs in the background. After 103 minutes, it pops up in the tray with a countdown for 5 more minutes, and requires the numbers to be input. If the numbers don't go in, the computer locks itself and requires an administrator (my) password to log back on. Unfortunately, after about 3 days of this he got fed up and I removed it. The next day I went to reinstall it ;) but he deleted my source code!
Hervard @ Jun 9th 2006 2:26PM
Yes, I've seen the show the few times, but I guess probably not enough to get what's so funny about this. At least the rest of you are having a laugh!
Rare Hare @ Jun 9th 2006 2:31PM
vidGuy.. if you could reprogram that, PLEASE post it for download on the internet. i'd pay for that.
T-BAG @ Jun 9th 2006 2:34PM
Isn't that host the same guy who's one of the hosts of the Man Show? I cant believe there weren't any juggies around, not even in a closet. What a sad day. A sad day indeed.
epobirs @ Jun 9th 2006 2:35PM
Some humor is highly subjective. You have to know 'Lost' to get the gag.
For the third season I think they should retitle the show to 'WTF? No, really, WTF?'
Rare Hare @ Jun 9th 2006 4:27PM
"For the third season I think they should retitle the show to 'WTF? No, really, WTF?'"
LMAO. yeah, that about sums up everyone's feelings at the end of each episode. mmm.. good times.
Paul Gale @ Jun 9th 2006 6:13PM
Haha, awesome. I'm a bif fan of Lost on ABC and am looking forward to the "real" game, but this is definitely a funny spoof on it.

Yes, his name is Jimmy Kimmel and he's only had his own talk show for about 3 damn years now. What planet do you live on?
Ash Mellow @ Jun 15th 2006 7:15PM
here is something else from Jimmy Kimmel that Lost fans will appreciate
