I admit it I bought this thing due to the World Cup hype, and I live in the U.S. where we supposedly are not into soccer...err football. That being said, the game is really a lot of fun, and I plan on playing a lot more of it...especially on Live.

The British public, buying a game which tests your mental integrity? Surely not.

The specific reason LucasArts stopped making adventure games was down to the fact that the average UK gamer would rather pimp his/her virtual ride/shoot a narc or simply buy a game with an 18 certificate regardless of its quality than use their brain, solve puzzles and enjoy games with humour about them..

...that's a good point, i wonder if the last few LucasArts adventures would have sold better if they were called "Monkey-F***ing-Island 4, bitch".

Gee Chris isn't that a tab elitist? I personally like all of the top five games on there. They've all gotten reviewed well also. Should we avoid any game that involves automobiles, violence, or sports because YOU don't like them? Am I a bad gamer if I don't like Brain Age? Sorry it isn't "fun" to me.

I like seeing such a fresh array of games on the market. No 'sims' expansion in sight, instead we've got some footy titles & a few quality games like Hitman, Tomb Raider and HL2 Episode 1.

I like what I see :)

Good to see that Sensi made an impression, even if (from what I've heard) it's not a patch on the original version. And are people ever going to stop buying Animal Crossing?

Chris: you're blaming a US company's change in creative focus in the mid-1990s, on the UK public's obsession with ganster rap culture in the mid-2000s? Do you believe that Puff Daddy went back in time via a pimped-up Delorean and told them to give up on adventures?

Don't be absurd. Lucasarts redirected their resources from adventures because:

1) The genre just wasn't popular
2) Star Wars licences were insanely popular

If you want to blame anything, blame X-Wing Versus Tie Fighter.
