Atari amounts yearly loss of $67m
Atari posted a loss of $67m for their fiscal year today but is still committed to publishing big-budget games, confirms a company representative. From the company's quarterly statement: "As the year-end results were substantially below the Company's expectations, the uncertainties resulting from the Company's financial condition raise substantial doubt about the Company's ability to continue as a going concern."In related news and after several delays, Atari has finally begun development on Gigli: The Game.

This kind of worries me about the future of Test Drive Unlimited, what if Atari buckles before the release, or worse I would think, right after the release, will MS support the servers for the game or will the game turn into an offline only game? From what I could tell on the demo it won't be that great without the online features, so I sure hope something is in place just incase they don't make it.

This is an age-old problem: Atari staying in business. Such a bummer. They should be given a permanent budget from the U.S. government to stay in business, solely for having the RADDEST LOGO of all time.

It's really sad to see them losing so much money but I blame it on their bonehead CEO, lack of focus and trying to chew way more than they can handle.
Test Drive isn't the only game to be worried about, I thought Timeshift was going to be awesome as well but it's been sold to someone else already, I just hope it lives up to what I'm expecting from it... it really does look like a good game for a change *seems to be rare for Atari to have good/better games as of late* and then this.

Eh, no big loss. What is this, resurrection #4? Bushnell, Tramiel, Hasbro, Infogrames....
Don't worry, some gready publisher will come along and resurrect the name again when they realize people will buy anything with Frogger or Pac in the name.

@#4
Isn't the "Pac" owned by Namco?
Remove this man's STAR and give it to MEEEEE!
