what the hell, the girl has an Xbox controller S, Boy a N64 pad, and the guy in the middle either a third party ps2 pad, or....even more strangely, an original Xbox controller the WRONG WAY ROUND...?

First of all, number 12 really should get a star!!!
I am guess the kids in one of the pictures who are doing homework don't want to turn out like the gamers!

Finally, that girl is to young to be attractive, and she is too ugly to be attractive.

The chick is *definatly* holding a xbox controller, not a dreamcast controller. Looks like the S controller. The guy is holding a 3rd party xbox controller, probably madcatz. And that kid has gotta be pissed to be using a N64 controller. What really stinks is noone sells adapters to let you use SNES or N64 controllers on the cube. (The hardware & sdk supports it.)

My girlfriend works in a studio where they take pictures like these. I'm sure they just handed the models whatever controllers they happened to have in their storeroom. They just want to get the models in and out fast since they get ungodly hourly rates. And from what I've heard about models, it's not surprising that one wouldn't be bright enough to know how to hold a controller. It's amazing that the didn't try to eat it.

I find this comment by ManicV hillarious.

>Didn't you know? Anyone over 22 is absolutely retarded when it comes to video games. Parents even moreso.

Lo and behold he forgets it's the 'retarded over 22' crowd that designs and makes the very video games (and related hardware) that he enjoys. Suffice to say the video game era started either before he was born or when he was dumping in his diapers.

The current core gaming demographic are in their late 20's to early 30's and are well educated. Trends have shown the demographic is moving upward in age ever so steadily as that demographic ages... not being replaced one for one by those that are younger.

The noted age demographic also tends to have the expendable cashflow and typically own 2 or more gaming systems. Typically a PC and a console.

I did not come up with this. There are numerous articles around covering this topic. He/She who likes games.. should game. But assuming someone over 22 doesn't know squat about games makes about as much sense as assuming a 40 year old software developer with 20+ years of coding under his/her belt is completely incapable of understanding the development, and thus and understanding of video games

Kids often think their parents are stupid. Its the other way around. Parents don't want their kids knowing how smart they really are.. and how much they really know of what they are aware of. Its their way of 'keeping an eye on them'. I know. I have a kid myself.

I'm pretty sure the guy knows how to hold a controller. I bet that the photographer didn't like the way the cord looked coming out of the controller so he asked the guy to turn it around "Because no one will notice." Same goes for the controller the boy is holding.

Well, people did. I never would have looked twice at it, if someone didn't point it out.

Wow MrMagoo, ManicV's comment went right over your head. It's called a joke. Hopefully your kid doesn't lack a sense humor as well.

In fact, I take it back... you're probably just angry because you're actually the guy in the middle. =P
