"So if that special lady in your life gives you crap about spending hours in front of the computer after Dragon Age arrives, just tell her you're learning all about building meaningful and lasting relationships. She just might leave you alone."

It seems more likely that she'd think you care more about your virtual girlfriend than your real one.

I've never even heard of Dragon Age before, but I can't help but point out how utterly cliche that title is. They might as well have named it "Legendary Adventure" or "Dragon Legend Quest Magic"

Chaps:

Dragon Age is the next RPG from the creators of Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and the original KOTOR and it's supposed to be BioWare's blockbuster magnum opus of RPGs. (Or so I've heard)

It's not surprising you haven't heard of Dragon Age, however. BioWare's been so tightlipped on it that they hasn't been any major announcement since the game was...well...announced. I was actually surprised to see an article on Joystiq about it.

Wait, what's this talk of Mass Effect coming out this holiday season. Did I miss something (big) here? I'd certainly written off the idea of picking up an Xbox 360 this holiday season since this title, and the majority of the other AAA efforts, appeared to be releasing in 2007. However, if this true, I'm certainly going to have to open my Wii vs. 360 purchase debate anew.

Is Bioware's latest enough to stave off the urges for Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess? That's a crap shoot.

"We're also talking about being able to switch between that kind of friendship path and a romantic path for those characters which you can romance."

Does "those characters which you can romance" mean straight-only?

Pinwiz:

Maybe, maybe not. Most of their games didn't allow for gay relationships but they added them in Jade Empire. In addition, there's a few player-made mods out there that add gay relationships to Baldur's Gate.

You could also make the same argument with GTA: San Andreas. Although you might want to downplay the whole polygamy thing...
