Logitech's new Bluetooth mouse reviewed
Inside Mac Games has reviewed Logitech's new V270 Bluetooth notebook mouse, and it looks like road warriors have a new option for gaming on the go. The reviewer tested the V270 on Call of Duty 2 and Quake 3 (yes, the Mac version of Quake 4 is out) with no noticeable delays, and it responds well on a variety of surfaces. Just make sure you're not synching your cell phone or using any other Bluetooth devices simultaneously with your laptop, as this may cause a slight performance drop. The V270 sells for $40-50 online, and although it ships with a Windows-only installation CD, the reviewer had no trouble setting it up on a Powerbook using the Bluetooth Setup Wizard.

Uh. Doesn't Logitech make mice specifically for gaming already? Is this like the only option for wireless mac gaming?

New mouse? Logitech has had this mouse out for a long time and its meant for laptops (although it can obviously be used on desktops as well).

Hasn't been out that long. I had been waiting for it the whole year, and CompUSA just got them in a little over a month ago. If you have a powerful laptop for gaming, it might be worth checking out.

Course there was no problem setting it up on a mac. plug and play. I thought PCs were plug and play till I had to instal printers and scanners :(
anywho. The mouse is a little late for me. I bought a Logitech V500 (or whatever - the mini one) and haven't looked back since. solid state scrolling, no silly side buttons. just a great mouse. pity about the USB receiver taking up a whole port on my PowerBook but meh.

"While I wasn't able to do a side by side comparison"
Ummm...he wasn't able to do a side-by-side comparison yet he was able to write up the review on a COMPUTER. I find it hard to believe that this guy didn't have a digital camera or didn't know someone he could borrow one from. I'd maybe interested in the mouse since the bluetooh MS mouse I have has about a 5 second battery life but if this is like all other laptop mice (i.e. ridiculously small) then I'll pass.

DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE MAC PEOPLE. Mac users are having a hell of a time with this mouse. I am included. It randomly disconnects and stops responding. This is only mac users.

I've had this mouse since January (silver) from Compusa and have had no problems with it disconnecting on my PB. Works pretty well, tho a bit small for gaming/long-term use.
