I don't believe that statement; they didn't lay off people because 'the company's getting too big' and 'slow down launch pattern', since people who got fired are GM, which they desperately need MORE, not LESS. CoH has around 4 GM left (third tier, I don't know about the rest) and L2 has 3 left. Any more are probably outsourced in India. Yay. I doubt the number of GMs has anything to do with 'slow down launch pattern'. The real reason is AA flopped, the end.

They pulled GMs from their CoH/CoV franchise and L2. They have nothing to do with Auto Assault. I do know all of their Tier 1 support is in New Dehli. It is really a shame the amount of subscription revenue they take from game developers (upwards of 80% in some cases, and the horror of 90% has been spoken) and then they still rip off the games by not giving them professional level support. You can't expect your product to do well if you refuse to support your product. Marketing for Auto Assault was piss poor at best. NC Soft is really pushing hard to increase the bottom line even more.

All I know is I dropped their games after getting bored out of my mind with the slow, repetitive gameplay.

Sure, the character design in CoH is fun, but the actual game is DULL.

All MMOs are dull and have repetitive gameplay or has that escaped you?

It's why you read every bit of info and don't play huge stretches. Huge stretches lead to burnout.

World of Warcraft has far more slow repetitive gameplay then any NCsoft MMO. I mean it should be called World of Walking if you wanted truth in advertising.

A shame for them, even with City of Villains getting better every day. Pound for pound the best MMO, imho...

It happens in companies. Even companies raking in the money lay off people especially if they just hired them to make the launch of a product less taxing.

As for GM response like others are clamoring about ncsoft gm response usually takes hours compared to the weeks one finds in a Sony MMO. Often you find people asking for GMs for things they could have found out themselves such as where a quest item is.
