Why spend $105 on this when there is a first-part Microsoft wireless headset coming out this fall for around $60?

I totally agree with #1...plus with the MS one you dont need to plug an adaptor in your controller

Microsoft's first party headset is *NOT* Bluetooth but the same proprietary protocol used for the controllers. Hence people might buy this if they *also* need the headset, then it's actually not such a terribly bad deal. I sure hope for them it's top quality stuff though, otherwise the price is outrageous.

#3, we know the MS headset isn't bluetooth...and why should it be? No matter how you look at it, $105 for this is a rip-off. It's nothing more than a $60 cell phone headset with a receiver. Plus, nobody has said if it will even pair up with anything besides the receiver so it might be useless for anything else but the 360.

If they released the receiver for $30-$40 so people could use their own headset of choice it might be worth it. If they did, you could pick up the receiver and a low-end BT headset for well under $105.

As far as it being top quality, I doubt something from Datel is going to match Motorola or Plantronics quality.

This is the second time that in the posts you guys say how "crappy" or "awful" the manufacturers site is, don't you think that it's possible that Datel doesnt want to post any info before the product comes out.

Did you learn about the release from Datel? No, just some amazon listing.

I might be wrong, but I don't see a reason for bashing the company.

Ok, my lack of awareness got my posts deleted. I didn't know using some special characters would trancate my posts and as a result it took the third posting to work. But, my third post was legit so I'm clueless as to why it was also deleted.

Anyway, why so expensive considering that bluetooth wireless headsets can be had for under $50 for cell phone, but must be well over $100 for the Xbox 360? Oh, the raping of Xboxers!
