Hey joba, georgel, or anyother obvious anti-Nintendo person.

I could careless what you think. From my perspective, your just a bunch of annoying text (that doesn't know how to make paragraphs. All your words are just bunched together in a meaningless heap of brainwashed-by-Sony words).

You can say what you want about Nintendo, but after the next gen passes, and Sony is announceing their version of the Wiimote, you'll be the one's saying that Sony is a god for inventing motion control (btw Sony WAS NOT the first to patent motion control for video games. Nintendo patented it around 1985 for it's power glove).

So you can just keep doing that thing that you do that's based on impulse, rather than reason (for all you idiots, that's posting on here without a valid reason).

Oh and joba, just cause you put the word GIMMICK in CAPS, doesn't make it more effective, it just shows that you can make words bigger. I can do that too. SEE I CAN MAKE WORDS REALLY REALLY BIG TOO YOU KNOW, but it doesn't really add anything to your argument.

#11: "A gaming system that has the power of a super computer? Pleease! Why would (should) any decent human being with any sign of intelligence believe that? If it really was a super computer, Sony would make more money off the U.S. government than off dumbass rich Sony fanboys."

And indeed they are. In addition to powering the PS3, Sony/IBM/Toshiba's Cell processor is being used in U.S. military missile guidance systems, advanced resolution MRI machines, deep-sea exploration devices, and Bose's new automotive "smart shocks" (they automagically adjust to the type of terrain you're driving on). Whaddya know, PS3 just happens to be a supercomputer after all!

You're right. The touch screen is a gimmick too. That's why so few games actually use it to any benefit.

It's about time someone who's brave enough to say something like that.

I'm getting sick of people arguing about stuff we don't need to talk about. Who cares if someone says if (insert system here) is a gimmick. I'm already getting sick of the word itself. It's not truth, it's pure opinion.

Just get what you like and shut up!

What upsets me the most about this whole thing is first time gamers are gonna look at this game and the Wii and say: "Hey! I saw my brother playing a game that looked just like this years ago on the N64!""What kind of godamned gimmick is this?"

36 years old and the only system to interest me at all is the Wii. I've owned a 2600, C64, NES, TG16, SNES, Genesis, N64, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, X-Box, Gamecube, Gameboy, DS, and PSP, and there has ALWAYS been something good about every single one of the systems I've owned.

If the little baby gamers wanna bitch and moan about how one system will suck and one will dominate, let em. It just shows incredible ignorance.

From what I saw at E3, this new generation of consoles will be one of the most exciting we've ever seen.

The 360 has one of the best standard gamepads made, and making it wireless and compatible with PC's will help in it's overall appeal. The games shown at E3 were nice and showed a good deal of innovation beyond just graphical improvements, and the 360 is the leader in online gaming right now, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

The PS3, despite it's price, has a HUGE fan base. That will translate into sales for the system. The 3rd party development, if it stays the same as the PS2, will deliver a wide range of titles for virtually anyone interested in gaming. And as far as graphics power, it's the leader, and that will also sell systems once developers realize the full potential of the system.

The Wii will have it's built-in Nintendo supporters lining up to purchase the system, and it's launching with one of the best set of launch titles I've seen. That, and the price, and the huge success of the Nintendo DS will sell these systems very well. The controller has added a lot of interest in the system, as well as the library of older Nintendo, Sega, and TG16 games.

So who's going to win this time around? Gamers. There are three awesome systems delivering something new to the table this time around, and I don't see any reason to suspect that the purchase of ANY one of the three would be a regretable experience.

The only thing more stupid than the bitching is the people doing the bitching.

The title of this blog says...Ubisoft confirms red steel re-design. It didn't say anything about the ps3 or the 360 or about which one is going to be number one this next generation (because that is why we play games). There is no reason for people to start talking about other systems in this blog. There have been plenty of other one's where that type of behavior is ok.

Now to the point. Good job ubisoft. Thank you for fixing the game. Just make sure when it comes out everything is to your liking.

@ Darth Pixel:

Umm sure buddy...have you actually played more then 2 games for the DS?

@ joba:

You entire argument goes right out the window when you said:

"I see myself casually browsing through my local electronics store one fine saturday afternoon, glancing at the Wii, efficiently pile driving three 8 years to try the tethered wii-mote. And just as quickly, if not faster, walking away in confidence that the GIMMICK hit its target with no second thoughts about the system ever."

That's 100% proof right there that before you even try out the Wii that you will hate it. But I'm sure you won't have any trouble buying a 360 (which I own) or a PS3 b/c they are doing the same old thing. You sound like someone who is afraid of change.

Hey Shogan, no brains allowed here. Couldn't you read half the posts above yours? Ignorant fanboy posts only. Jeez, the nerve of some people.

I am happy that Nintendo has done something different and cheap, so that I can enjoy Mario, Zelda, etc. with a new twist while still getting the best graphics out there on my PC. If Nintendo would have just stayed with the control scheme they invented over the last 3 generations like Sony and 360 and push the graphics envelope, there would just be 3 wimpy versions of PC's out there instead of one.

Shogan's only mistake in his post is when he said PS3 will lead in the graphics department. PC is where you go for the best graphics. PS3 is where you go for a slightly cheaper, watered-down version of a good graphics card (assuming you already own a pc). I know people want to differentiate between consoles and PC's, but there isn't much of a difference when it comes to 360 and PS3, except lower price and lower power.

Shogan,

You're right. Most of this is my fault. I wasn't the instagater, but I kept it going. I should have shut up a long time ago.

Of course I still have to agree with GSI.

joba, go to hell.

I don't get why some people hate on Nintendo for no good reason. Ok let's say for a moment that the Wii is the largest gimmicky, kiddie thing there ever was. So what? I still know a lot of adults that would like that. How many adults loved Beanie Babies?? They were about as gimmicky and kiddie as it gets.

I personally don't like Sony and will never buy anything else by them. The reason why is because of the total number of Sony items I've owned (around 10), and how many of them lived to see their first birthday (0). That's a valid reason for not wanting to get anything else made by Sony. It's just personal experience and doesn't relate to their products as a whole, but I'm tired of giving them a chance to prove me wrong so I stopped buying their products. I may nod and agree with someone whose Sony product dies on them, but I don't feel the need to try and shake some sense into people that buy their products.

I think a lot of people used to love Nintendo, and then because of the way videogames evolved they had a parting of the ways. Now when people say good things about them those people get mad. Kind of like having a best friend in elementary, having a fight, vowing never to speak again, then they become one of the popular people in high school. It's called jealousy. Nobody gets mad when someone says good things about a product that you care nothing about.

With the demos they showed at E3, it still looks way too slow. The lag in POV when you move the controller to when the movement actually occurs would drive me insane.

Get rid of the lag, make the movements react to EXACT motions, and we're in business. Without that, this will still make console FPS games a worse experience than on a PC.

Speed is key. Anything that doesn't map 100% to what my actions are is not worth the time.
