Continuing the trend of placing the iconic NES controller design on practically everything you can imagine, here's a packet of NINTENDO POWER MINTS for your bad gamers breath. C'mon, just because Contra is addictive doesn't mean you have to go in for the whole "we're men with guns, we don't care about our dental health" thing.
Oh, I've had one of these little tins for a while. I got it a Hot Topic. It's a great little tin, but definitely don't buy it if all you want are mints...they're pretty odd. But, fill it with Altoids or something, and you have a winner.
There are at least 3 people selling these on Ebay at the moment. I just grabbed one (a bit overpriced at 7 bucks shipped), not knowing whether the mints inside are "vintage" or modern. Looks like they're reasonably recent, but I'm not going to eat them anyway. Unless they're sugarfree, they're not going to help with bad breath, let alone dental hygiene.
I got one to hold my loose DS games (many of which I just bought at the Circuit City $8.96 blowout sale).
Actually, a friend of mine bought one of these a few months ago. I never actually tried the mints, but what my friend did with the case made me want to run out and buy a pack for myself; a DS cart storage bin. Like, he keeps all his games in there, and they're all protected by a nice little shell of nintendo. It's really portable and a hell of a lot more convenient to carry around then those boxes that the DS games come in.
I picked up one of those last year from a Hot Topic. The nifty thing about this case is that I keep my DS games in it. It can comfortably hold 12 DS carts.
the have these at the nintendo world store in nyc, i didnt get one because i hate mint, but i like the game case idea, it will be easier than making that NES controller case i've been working on...
My wife got these for me a couple months ago from World Market. The mints were awful. However, it makes a excellent carrying case for Nintendo DS games. It holds 12 DS games, which is perfect.
I bought one of these at Freak Lunch Box, a horribly over-priced candy store. The mints, as everyone has stated, tasted like crap. I ended up dumping half of them out. Where the product really shines is as a wonderfully nostalgic marijuana storage device. I can't recommend this product enough.
I picked one up at Sugar Mountain in Ottawa, next to a stack of even more post-hip generational merch like Napoleon Dynamite and The Nightmare Before Christmas mints.
Wow, when I say it like that, I actually feel kinda sad…
Please don't use the word "Ninty". It's a retarded faux-britishism dreamed up wholesale by the UK "New Games Journalism". It's not cool, it's too "british clever", and it automatically tags the writer as trying too hard.

I saw this at a "hot topic" store almost a year ago. I'm surprised it took this long to make it here! I got one, and the mints didn't taste that good.

Sugar Mountain here in Winnipeg has them as well. The tin is cool but the mints taste like, well, minty ass.

My wife got me one of these from the front counter of the Barnes and Noble-run University bookstore here at the University of Chicago.
The mints are a little weird. They don't exactly suck, but they aren't quite normal.
The time-delay on this being a story is odd to me.
