In what may be revenge for every video game advantage Americans ever took for granted, the demo for Sega's Chromehounds is now available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace everywhere EXCEPT the US and Canada. Shellshocked Americans (and Canadians) ask the question: "Why do they hate us?" or more specifically "Why deny the world's wealthiest economy the chance to sample some generic next-gen mech action?" Major Nelson doesn't really offer an explanation other than a link to the standard rigamarole about licenses and ratings boards. To add insult to injury, there's no word on when the demo will be available in the in the land of the free and the home of the brave, if at all. How should our famously self-involved nation react to this blow to our national ego? Non-NAFTA fanboys please report your demo impressions while the rest of us complain.[Thanks DefJef]
