How to get the Chromehounds demo in the USA

this has been known for about 3 months

3 months? Ok maybe this was slow to filter to the US users but in the UK we knew about this basically at launch (December)

I tried out this little trick last night after reading it on another site. It worked great. Unfortunatly the demo was too short, too easy and didn't include the best aspect of Chomehounds... mechbuilding. What's with that?!

The demo is a descrace!

Were they expecting a good reaction?!

Anyway, 3/10 for me!

The biggest complaint I've heard from people who got a hold of the demo is that the mechs move in SLLLOOOOWWW MOOTIIIOON. Supposedly the demo is based on the E3 demo which is about 2 months older than the version that went gold. HOPEFULLY they speed things up a bit, otherwise I'm turning to Prey to tide me over til Dead Rising hits.

I was excited when I logged in to the jap server yesterday and found the demo. Excited until I played the demo. Only 2 missions? to play, very very short. One mission I think you are a gunner mech and have to destroy a base and the second mission you are a sniper mech and have to destroy the enemy before they reach a certain point on the map. Seems like it could have so much potential but just falls really short. Sadly, I think I am going to have to pass on this game based off what i played from this demo.

This is why they havent released the demo in the US. The demo itself is rushed and thrown together. I doubt that the game is this terrible (though it is possible) but this is exaclty why the demo isnt on a full release

I got it yesterday. It's okay. I feel like this demo leaves out all of the most exciting elements of the game: multiplayer, persistent war, customization. They also should have included one of the faster mech, maybe one with wheels.

I get the feeling this game is more MechWarrior than Virtual On though.

I'm still waiting to cast judgement on this one.

You also might want to mention that this is a bannable offence on live to create multiple accounts. But it seems like most people don't give a crap anyway.. I hope MS drops the hammer on bozo's like you guys and ban's you for it because you can't wait like the spoiled American brats you are. Or better yet, they will start region locking the demos. Hey did you know you can hack the 360 too?? Maybe 360fanboy can put up a a step by step tutorial for that as well??

Old News dude but anyway i thought the demo was sweet and i cant wait for the whole game so i can build my on mech and go online.

Why do you care if other people make secondary regional accounts? Seriously, did a secondary regional account molest you as a child? Did a secondary regional account kill yore pa?

I made my Japanese account the day I got my 360, and while it's mostly been useless (thanks to the region-locked Love Football), it's certainly not hurting anyone.

Maybe you should find something to do with yourself other than half-assed attempts at policing what other people do with an online service.

Demos really are a double edged sword. I was excited about this game but after actually playing it I am underwhelmed and disappointed. It wasn't even worth all that trouble creating a fake account.
