Not content with conquering Japan and America, the newly revamped, newly released, New Super Mario Bros. now set its non-insidious sights on Europe, land of collosseums, queens and curiously leaning constructions. Nintendo of Europe has announced that the game has shipped to stores, just in time to be snatched up over the weekend. Expect Mario to hit his presumed homeland of Italy in full force, devouring mushrooms and smashing bricks, though sadly not fixing leaky plumping. If you haven't purchased the game already, check out its updated official site and catch yourself whistling along to the music.

I like the North American box art better.

I think the European box art is much better. A giant mario doesn't take up the whole screen and the enimes are arranged better.

Regardless of box art...this game rocks...wouldn't you all agree?

It's the best DS game, except that i have all the coins, but have yet to unlock the stupid 2 extra worlds with mini Mario- it's nearly impossible to find those stupid small mushrooms.

@ MegaMatt: Indeed it does.
@ Expungable Robot: Try 1-4, There's a mini mushroom near the mini pipe.

Aww man, they got the cool looking box just like the Japanese did (although the Japanese had a yellow box, not a normal black one). What's up Nintendo? first they get a Black DS lite now a cool looking box? C'mon! Even Australia got the DS lite before us.
Where's our special treatment?
I'm happy for the rest of the world but what's Nintendo saving for the U.S.?

Yeah, last-gen. Apparently Nintendo wanted to start the next-gen with the rest of the world before the U.S. (which I can understand).

I don't think Mario will bring so huge success in Europe like in US or Japan, but I'll hope Europeans will understand all-mighty Mario :)

I'm in the UK, but I got a brand new US import the same week it got released in the US and this was still cheaper than what it is being sold for now in the UK. It is unbelievable how expensive games are over here.

An international release date for some games would be perfect. Until then, importing is the way to go. Game prices are back up here, too, but atleast this one's worth it.
And to be fair, the UK gets some great television shows and movies before the US. There's nothing but shit here, and we only got "Spaced" two weeks ago.
