I have a feeling that this generation is going to see a hell of a lot more cross-platform action between Sony and Microsoft. There's just way too much money to be made programming cross-platform.

The real question is: which one will be better? We all know what happened when they ported Splinter Cell.

The porting is still Xbox -> Playstation in this case, as they've been making the 360 version much longer than the PS3 version. Evidenced by the E3 demo running on the 360, announcement at that expo last year, etc.
I'm expecting a killer Live game on 360 and a slightly worse but more 'the same' than ever game on PS3.

Who cares if it's a timed exclusive? I'm not about to plop down $600 dollars to play a game several months early!

Either way, if it comes out for PC, I'm not buying it for a console. The bad experience we've all had with Graw or Oblivion, where we have to pay for every little add-on while the moding community makes tons for free has left me almost wanting to get rid of my xbox. At the least I am NEVER buying a cross platform title ever.

Thats the great thing I liked about my PS2, almost all kickass title where exclusive to the console, so I didnt feel cheated like I do with the XBOX, making me pay extra for a game thats actually more open and cheaper on a PC. ?!

I agree with Mintz, if this is coming for the 360 it could help me hold off buying a PS3 for at least another year or more. With allot of great titles coming out for the PS2 even yet this year. If some of the great titles are cross platform that could help me wait until the first price drop.

With game dev going through the roof these days companies other that first parties have no choice but to have games on multiple system. It's how they make money

Well, this is interesting. A few weeks ago, I was talking with a few friends. One of them works at an EB Games store. He had no idea that it was a PS3 exclusive, as their computers say that it will be cross-platform. Obviously, I don't have much credibility, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Listen, like I said before companies want to make money and having a HOT game out for only one system will hurt them financial. Unless of course MS, Sony or Nintendo want to pay them for the exclusive rights and WE all know that it will cost WAY TOO MUCH!! All this doese is make easier to own one system and the big-wigs don't want that!!
