When a company (Ubisoft) says "no comment" to a question about a game being developed on other platforms, it is clearly due to contractual obligations.

If they said "no, it will only be on the PS3", then it is a PS3 exclusive.

I wonder how much Sony paid Ubisoft to say "no comment"...

dear readers,

When someone mention about PS3 exclusive titles, they don't mean Tetros: The Legacy of Tetris, or Kirai High School: The Dating Game, or Heavenly Sword, or that craptastic Warhawk and Killzone (which both of their predecessors failed miserably). By your definition, xbox also enjoyed lots of exclusive such as The Barbie Adventure, Army Men - Major Malfunction, and Monster 4x4 World Circuit.

They are talking about AAA titles such as Gran Turismo, Virtua Fighter, Final Fantasy. Stop loosely use the term "PS3 exclusive".

360 has a growing list of impressive exclusives while PS3 has a shrinking list.

Lets all remember that the MGS series eventually made it to the Xbox. Don't you think now that MS will have a lead in console sales projected for the next 2 years at least that an MGS title will be ported over to the 360 with a much smaller time frame of Exclusivity?

So what is truly left for PS3 exclusives?

Killzone? a mysterious no show at this years E3 whose first version was a mediocre game. While 360 will have Prey, Halo 3, Gears of War and many more

Gran Turismo? This year will see a crappy HD upgrade with still no Online play showed at this years E3? While MS Forza Motorsport is breathing down it's neck while surpassing it in physics, vehicle damage, AI Online play, Graphics and now a Wireless force feedback Steering wheel and Forza's car list is going to be nearly that of GT

Final Fantasy: Square has been warming to MS and it seems that Final Fantasy titles may eventually come to 360. 360 has Fable 2, Mass Effect, Huxley, Blue Dragoon and more.

WarHawk: Enough said.

SoCom: Anyone whos been playing games online on the Xbox and 360 simply do not understand why people put up with such a poor implementation of online play.
360 has GR:AW.

The 360 will also be the only Next Gen cosole with NCAA and Madden 2007 for like 3 months as the Wii and PS3 won't even be out yet.

Anonymous quotes, eh? You're starting to make the National Enquirer look credible with this garbage. Then you go on to disparage a site that actually quotes a source in your update. Can you say backassward?

GRAW online is so flawed it's ridiculous. Voicechat is a joke-- mmm, I love to hear heavy breathing or one sided conversations people are having with people in the same room they are. Ranked games are a joke too. All you have to do is be on the winning team to rank up. Besides that people are always trying to glitch around the one game rule. Usually the games get bounced. It's barely a step above SOCOM. At least voicechat is useful on SOCOM. Free too.

I was completely shocked when I bought my 360 and found online play so lacking and at times incredibly frustrating.

Remember kids, all exclusives for the PS3 have to be either:
1) Really bad games nobody wants, even if they came to [insert console here]
2) Part of a grand conspiracy orchestrated by Sony in order to force people to buy the PS3, and that's evil

Wait....

Live with it kids. Consoles may have exclusive titles, even if You would prefer that they were not.

Well Sputnik lets not also forget that by the time PS3 comes out MS would have had a year+ to get games to market... so if they DIDN'T have a good showing upon their first year anniversary I'd think that'd be worse for them, not PS3.

Lets face it Launches for systems are never known for their Stellar games, even 360's launch was rather lackluster they're only NOW starting to get a few good games. So lets not act like they came out of the gates with Gears of War and other big titles they were pushing. Cuz as of right now all their (360's) good games are sequels too.

Seriously why do we need to take fanboyishness to a whole new level this gen, heck last gen it was annoying enough.

If AC comes to 360/PC, etc, Fine, Everyone gets a good game to play. I mean heck going by some of you guys definitions.. why would anyone even bother to buy a 360 i wonder, most of its games you can get on other systems too and for cheaper to boot!

Seriously sputnik.. are you going to compare a system that's been out for a years game list to one that wont come out for another 6 months.

Aint that kind stupid? Wouldn't that be like comparing 360's game list to Xbox or PS2's, even if they're not next gen.

I mean the 360 SHOULD have a bevy of games out by November,Developers have had longer to get used to it than either NIntendo's or Sony's offerings, is that really something to brag about? Games that aren't out yet compared to a system that isn't out yet?

Uh...JJ its not MS's fault that they were out sooner. Sony has had an additional 2 yrs to get their console out and have games produced for it...

I realize that Cage, but the point still stands, a console thats on the market for a whole year longer than its competitors... BETTER have good offerings If it didn't... wahts the point of coming out earlier?

I would say the same for ANY system that dropped a whole year before its competitors, There SHOULD be a sizeable market lead, if not, something is wrong with your system and/or the games you're offering. You failled to generate the hype if that's the case.
See what i'm saying?

For instance say Sony dropped a system first and say in 4 years they ended up last, in this gen they'd have no excuse for that kind of blunder. Just like i expect MS (hopefully) to keep its lead, if it doesnt that doesn't look to well for them in the long run to be the first to market and yet still fail to surpass their competition ya know? How would they possibly remedy that next gen? It would show they have no idea what their doing.

So from a business standpoint i do hope MS and Nintendo match sony better this Gen, who knows it may light a fire somewhere under one or all of em. So we'll get better games at quicker rate.

Good competition, is good for us consumers

JJ,

By your logic we could never compare the current gen systems. It would be "Let's compare today's 360 games vs. next year's PS3 titles". You would always be comparing today's 360 titles vs the future's PS3 titles.

You can't use the fact that the 360 has a one-year lead against them. Why? Because it's the REALITY of the situation. MS has a one-year lead whether you like it or not.

Your logic applied to baseball: "Well of course the Yankees are better than a young team like the Minnesota Twins. But the Yankees SHOULD be better than the Twins because they are more experienced and have more talent. Therefore, no one can say that the Yankees have more to offer than the Twins right now."

LoL.

al d: So explain to me how running a post that *doesn't* give any credence to anonymous quotes and then citing PS3 Land, who legitimately found the forum post (but neglected to link to it ... c'mon, this is the internet! Links, people!) but calling them out on a clearly misleading headline is somehow backwards? The game is *not* a PS3-exclusive. In fact, it's right where it was last week. Announced for PS3 and everything else is "not announced." Our post served our readers by eliminating the litany of blogs reporting this "confirmation" as a done deal. Our update further served our readers by directing them to the Ubi reps comments, and eliminating another, distinct mistake. Namely, that AC was -- and is again -- a PS3-exclusive.

Suffah I'm not saying that, i'm just saying comparing the library as it is now to a system that hasn't even dropped yet is Foolish, because we have NOTHING to compare the systems to as of yet.
Everything we say now is just heresay and conjecture and i'm not just talking about PS3 the Wii is in there too. We cant compare things that AREN"T out yet now can we?

I'm just saying the market right now is MS's to lose, Of course they should have a better library than their competitors do at launch, Developers have had a longer time to work on the system.
The baseball analogy really doesn't work, because with natural talent for sports, any team could be any other team on any given day.
In the technology industry, The longer you have to work on something, the better it gets and should get, or else we'd still be playing PS1 games.
I'm simply saying, by virtue of their system being out first and trying to get the market lead, they SHOULD have a bigger library of games by the time their competitors drop. Its simple or else we'd simply be sitting here xbox games with 360 plastered on them and no change.
Thats the whole reason MS dropped their system first, to get the lead on the market. If they DIDN'T have any big games in the first year to combat their competitors, they would have dropped the ball is all i'm saying.
I dont know why you're taking what i said as a bad thing. Once again the next gen video game market, as of right now, is theirs to lose, the balls in their court at this moment.
