I can imagine that the most difficult part of teaching the chimp would be that the ghosts have two different states. Sometimes it's okay to hit the ghosts and sometimes it's not. That has to be a challenging concept to convey to a chimp. Sweet video, chimps are rad.

Anyway, I find that the chip is actually better than I am at Pac Mac. Of course, I'm incredibly terrible at it...

Wow, very off topic... I wonder if Kevin just posted in the wrong area. But hey, don't forget to throw in a XBox 360 WiFi Adapter for $100 and the HD DVD player for another $200 dollars... That would make the 360 $820 compared to the PS3 for $720. Apples to apples...

But man, look at that Chimp go!

Shouldn't that monkey be playing Donkey Kong, it just seems more relevant to the situation.

I guess I'm just shocked this hasn't been tried before. If you can teach an ape sign language- you most certainly could teach it a little joystick routine like that. Now that I think about it- I'd love to see a little ape-pong action. ... Clearly the next step after that is some side scrolling donkey kong.

Number 16: I was thinking the same thing!

Also, why is it that I wasn't surprised in the least to find the clip narrated in Japanese? And I was even less surprised to find the actual trainer was speaking English...

Ok, I'll concede that the monkey could navigate the maze. That was cool, I guess. But it had no idea how to "play the game." Did you see that time when he was just hanging out around the ghost home? Pfft, he reminds me of this loser Jason that lived across the street and couldn't beat me at anything. He never really went for the pellets or understood when you could chase and not chase the ghosts.
Although... that trainer's pretty hot, I suppose. She was giving him a lot of touchy feely encouragement. Keeping the bar low in that situation is definately something I can respect.
Dude, that monkey is cool!

18.
Number 18. As a primatologist I can tell you why. The reason is that the Japanese take these kinds of studies much more serious. Asian Primatology is far more respected than the study is in the west. Even though studies like this are done in the west, it is more likely to appear on local news in Asian countries because the people there actually appreciate the science and the studies being done. In the west, people are more interested in common violence and national disasters. Many sciences are dwindling and oppurtunities being lost on college campuses as colleges focus more on law and business, as well as criminal justice, especially in the US. So you may not be surprised, due to some joke you were trying to make... but there is a factual underlying reasoning behind it, and it actually makes the US and the rest of the Western hemisphere look bad.

And number 3. When a chimp bears its teeth (usually by what looks like a yawn) it is a threat display. In the video this chimp displayed 2 faces that I noticed. 1 was a fear grimice (pulling his lips back tight and bearing his teeth) This is used to show shock or fear (probably in a playful manner in this case) The other face he made was a play face, (dropping the lower lip down in excitement) which was happening during the rough housing and the awesome high fives!!!

When a chimp gives you a high five you know you are cool (or at least in her case, you think you are cool!)

Hey nothing wrong with videogames. The media here focuses too much on saying videogames are harmful, but as you have seen in Asia, the media there focuses alot on the benefits of videogames.

They also don't put all the focus on violence and sex in Asia, and our media focusing on the violence and sex is probably more harmful than having a game containing it.

Why do you think all these kids want to play GTA: whatever. They saw on the news that it is not approved of. Do you really think they saw it in a review that the game was great and you should play it? No. If that was the case then no one would buy the crappy rated M games.
