A Sony fanboy gone mad

Hell hath no fury like a fanboy scorned. Lately, Sony's fan base has taken nuclear bomb-like hits to the gut for the PlayStation 3, so it's no surprise that some are ready to snap. Immortalized in YTMND form, a GameSpot caller who goes by the name of Jason16888 pretty much sums up every frustration each Sony sheep has been feeling lately. In his own high-pitched girl-like screams, our friend Jason goes into rants on such annoyances as PS3 game prices and bad marketing. He even mentions that he may do the worst thing ever for a Sony fanboy: buy an Xbox 360. Has it really come to this people?

Most of us can agree that X is an asshole. But some of what he's saying does deserve attention. And just cuz there's one dumbass in a blog, doesn't mean he should be banned.

Besides, those kind of people add spice to a discussion (that is then turned into an argument).

I gotta agree with you on the 360 and Wii > PS3 attitude. And I like what you say about being a gamer for the games and not the other way around.

But what's with shouting MONKEY at the end of the sentence? Doing that certainly won't make anyone take you seriously.

But it's just a word of advice.

This is turning into The People versus Sony Corporation. Does anybody even realize that all this ranting and trolling and flaming on message boards does NOTHING for anybody except waste webspace. You are NOT going to make it any cheaper, you are NOT going to put Sony out of business, and you are NOT persuading anyone to buy your favorite console. Please people, I really want to hear exactly how many people think "Wii60 is for me" and how arrogant $ony is. If video games are all about having fun, why the hell are 90% of us spending more time on these comment boards BSing about how this console (that hasn't even been released yet) is the biggest failure ever. How about we all wait untill all the consoles are released and THEN start debating which is better.

In related news, I posted here a just after E3 that I had 4 friends who were Sony-exclusive gamers, and that 3 of the 4, after hearing of the price point and gobbling up all related info they could find, had decided to jump ship to MS. I wasn't sure about the fourth guy at the time, but now I'm not surprised to announce that he, too, has done the same. hmmm...

In Sony's defense, I do have one friend who is still planning on getting a PS3, but he makes roughly 60K yearly, and also plans on getting a 360 and a Wii. You do the math.

That call will be used in Sony's "marketing Campaign" I Guarantee it!
