According to research firm Pearl Research, South Korea's game market will surpass $2 billion next year. The largest gaming platform, PC online gaming, will be $1.2 billion in 2006, the report suggests. It also asserts casual games that are free to play for ten minutes or less comprise 30 percent of all online gaming in the country.Mobile games is predicted to be worth $275 million this year, and home console gaming only $160 million -- we know of at least one company who is hoping to elevate that figure next year (and hopes to earn some of that $2 billion payoff).
