I have the game and I've been enjoying it. If you like RTS's, I think you'll like the game. If you're obsessive about RTS's, than you'll probably leave them gaming wishing for more. I think it's a good RTS on a console, and the controls really are pretty decent once you get the hang of them. It's got some slow down, but I've been used to that from RTS's for a long time... Fun game.. Playing the evil campaign and taking out all the Hobbits was a bit fun :)

Yeah I played the demo and they really got the controls right. It takes a little time to get into it, but once the fighting starts, the game is pretty intense. I love it, but I don't really know if I like it enough to buy it.

Hey, who's on the picture above? I don't think it's Gendalf or someone from brotherhood of ring

I think the guy above is just some random elven soldier, though he could be Gil-Galad or some other obscure name from the books that never really gets developed except in the Bible like Silmarilion.

Im fairly certain that it is Glorfindel, the elf that helped save Frodo and them when they were crossing the Ford of Bruined before reaching Rivendell (only in the book), in the movie Arwen saved him

It's Glorfindel. He's a character in the game. In the movies, he's the elf that finds the Fellowship in the woods and takes them to see Galadriel.

BFME2 arrived this freshly this morning, after work I swiftly got suck in especially since I'm a big RTS and LOTR fan. The vedict? Not very good. The control scheme doesnt work well and the map system is very poor really compared to a PC with keyboard and mouse. I'd score it 6.5 to 6.8.

Simply put RTS games need a keyboard and mouse. There's definately a market for RTS on 360 but I doubt that demand will last with a 360 controller interface. I hope and pray they release a wireless keyboard and mouse so we the consumer can make the choice and enjoy this genre the way it's bested suited not 'wallet suited'

I've been playing the Demo non-stop.
My take: Controls are next to perfect. Unlike the chap who posted above, I think the controls are fine, and once I learned all the short-cuts the game was a breeze.
It is harder to macro-manage individual units then the PC version (too many layers).
I have found the multiplayer particularly excellent.

As soon as it comes out in New Zealand I'll be buying the full game,
