I'd have to agree. Sitting down and playing a little UNO every now and then is quite fun. My son enjoys it a lot:

How did the Matchmaking system not work? The games always came up if you waited 5 seconds after it said "0 Games Available." The patch just eliminated that wait.

The problem was with the ranked matchmaking.

It depends on the match you entered. If you selected Custom Match it worked. If you selected Ranked Match or Quick Match, it didn't work well at all.

Now just give us more add-on decks. Where the hell is our retro-style deck?

Still need to expand it to a 10 player game like the real card version.

Ranked and quick atches were possible, but you didn't get presented with a match easily, or as easily as a custom match were you could list all matches.

It was not uncommon to enter a ranked or quick match and sit there for a long time, waiting for someone to come along.

On custom matches, you got a list of all available matches right away.

The other 'bug' was the occasional lock up upon entering a pre-existing game.

Yeah, I agree with the comments about UNO being the game played most. Of all the games I purchased, UNO is the one I come back to again and again. Can't wait to see the new decks.

My wife gives me endless shit for buying a $400 xbox when I could have paid $5 for a deck of Uno cards, since that's mostly what I use it for now. (or whatever physical cards go for these days)

Well, JKI, tell her that you can't play online with a deck of 'real' cards.

I only manager to play 4 ranked matches, and they only way they happened was when I went in to the lobby and then went and sat on the toilet for 15 minutes and came back to find I had one person matched with me.

What they need to do now is the framerate issue. How the hell can there be a decrease in the framerate the closer you get to the end of the deck before it reshuffles?! It's UNO for god sake!

Framerate or lag? The only time I noticed animation issues is when the entire game slows down. I figured someeone in the game was on a slow connection, so the game was compensating by dropping the animation. The cards just instantly 'appear'

Somewhere I read they may be using Flash.

I've also seen issues where the arrows are pointing the wrong direction from which you're playing. This usually occurs when I enter an existing game, and there's a bit of a lag.

The other problem that is still happening is sometimes when people (including myself) enter an existing game, they never quite make it, and you're waiting for them, or if it happens to me, my entire system locks up. It's frustating because it happens to me once or twice a week.

Even though this is my favorite XBLA game, it is by far the buggiest game I've seen from Microsoft. I was hoping the patch fixed that problem, but I just encountered a lockup last night, where someone never quite made it into our game, and we were stuck in 'waiting for player' during our in-progress game.

I can't believe a 400 dollar console is having trouble with UNO! This is some funny s*it! It's funny that these same people are complaining about the PSP when they are playing UNO! Talk about hypocrites!

@Clint

How does that make people hypocrites? There is nothing to play on PSP. Mine is sitting in a box above my linen closet and below the towels. So it's basically just a $250 waste of space.

Even if the only thing I played on my 360 was UNO (which it isn't, currently playing Oblivion, Geometry Wars, CoD2 and Bejeweled), I'd still be happier with my 360 purchase than my PSP. Sure, it cost $150 more, but at least it is getting some use. Even though UNO may experience some rather frequent lag issues, at least it is something to do with the system. The only action my PSP sees is the once a month power-up to see what the color changes to.

....because they say the PSP doesn't have games. I've been playing several new games that I like a lot...They are sitting there admitting all they are playing is UNO (a card game available at Wal-mart for about 3 dollars!)

The lag in a game like UNO has nothing to do with the hardware.

It's the result of people using low-bandwidth connections, or having a home network with a bunch of PCs on (all infested with spyware, or P2P downloading). Or from people using unreliable wireless connections. Most people don't know how to maintain their networks or PCs.

The PSP would experience problems too, if there were any games to play online with it. Mine is sitting around as well (with an empty 2GB stick). But maybe with the 2.71 firmware emulation, it might finally get some use (doubtful).

Anyway, it's amazing how fun UNO can actually be. I NEVER enjoyed playing it manually with my cousins back in the day. But with a bunch of friends on Xbox Live, there's some welcome (friendly) smack-talk...in UNO. It's hilarious.
