Remember when we said "Bioware really went to town with the facial animations, something which immediately becomes obvious when you start whipping out your gun and shoving it in people's faces in your efforts to get information"? Yup, so do we, and it's apparent in this demo footage. With Bioware's impressive resumé, including Xbox hits Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire, Mass Effect is looking like a sure thing this holiday.

"24. 'How do they, if so, plan on storing a galaxy, with at least 5-8 visitable planets on one DVD9?'
'Will this perhaps be the first 360 game to come on multiple discs?'
Your worries are my worries too :(
..stupid DVD9...But then again they fit all of Oblivion on 1 disc and that game is MASSIVE, but then again this game will be even bigger since its in a galaxy..still optomistic though! lol
AHH CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!"
DVD9 is enough, I mean PC games are still using CDs for the most part. Theres some that use DVDs but their only single layered. So I don't think you have anything to worry about. The only next gen system thats not using DVDs is the PS3 with all that uneccesary space and hyped up media as their optical drive. Plus the discs for blu-ray will be more expensive, but anyway I don't think you have anything to worry about ;)

Actually, I have seen real time voice conversations before, Hunter. It was in a game called "Indigo Prophercy". Basically, you would enter a conversation with someone, and you would only be able to select so many lines and the lines would change depending on what choices you've made previously, like a real conversation.

Bioware is owned by Microsoft. This will not be appearing on any other console (maybe PC but I doubt it)
This game is going to be great and will have so many features that you haven't seen before. Play KOTOR 1 and imagine that game on steroids. KOTOR was released in 2003. I liked it so much that I played it through the first time as a Jedi and after beating it went back again and played on the dark side.
This will be a must own and will make Oblivion look bad. Oblivion from a space issue took up like 5.2 gb. That would leave Oblivion and 3.3gb more of space. They have PLENTY of room. This like Halo will not come out until it runs smooth and looks great. It is one of Microsofts Silver bullets.

Game looks quality, Bioware normally turn out excellent products so I suspect (hope) this should be no different. From what I've read, the main character is adjustable so you don't have to have shaved action-movie man, there will probably be a create your own (maybe even a selction of voices but that would be pushing it I think) and I've also read that the game can be played like KOTOR, by entering some sort of semi-paused planning system. The voice system does look good as for all this real-time conversation has it not been around for years (Planescape: Torment had it did it not). Anyways looks good hope I have a 360 by its release.

Hey, non-innovative screaming retards. Quick challenge. Name ONE other immersive intergalactic rpg that has a real-time squad-based third person shooting combat engine. Oh, can't? Stfu.

Really reminds me of Frontier Elite: II Frontier Elite II , for the amiga, which was an amazing game (they probably took some ideas from frontier)

i don't think the voice acting is anywhere near final, knowing bioware's prediliction to do it near the last minute. but i could be wrong. that said, it works, but yes, is shaky. (i'm looking at you, casino blue girl) the animation and character details are superb, however.

This looks like KOTOR-like characters meet Rainbow six squad based combat meets Ratchet and Clank Weapons with a little DBZ energy thrown in for fun. Please come out for PC i don't have 360.
