Mario Hoops commercial reveals more characters
13
This Japanese commercial, starring those awesome Hot Mario Bros. dudes, reveals a handful of characters we had not previously known of. During the clip, keen eyes will spot none other than a Koopa Troopa, Boo (although he could just be some kind of power up), Dixie Kong, Shy Guy, and some small yellow thing (could also be a power up of sorts).

This is cool. I'm just curious as to why this was posted in a different font than any post I've seen here before...

Wait, IGN says that you don't have to tap the touch screen to dribble. How come the video shows the player tapping?

Because a lot of DS games have multiple ways to play them. Quite a number of games the stylus is a secondary controll method.

So is the primary control method on this game the stylus or the control pad? I've read conflicting reviews and reports regarding this point. It better be the control pad!!!

Repeating you can use either method.

Stylus method is primary. You can surely dribble and pass with the buttons, but only in the most basic way. The stylus lets you control around which side of your body you dribble, do special dunks, and special spin/dash moves. These are all very important functions in gameplay and cannot be done with the buttons.
