It's no secret the PSP doesn't exactly have the greatest role-playing game library around, but that may begin to change when world-renowned developer, Nippon Ichi Software, releases its next RPG offering in the form of Blade Dancer for the PSP. The guys at PSP Advanced are the lucky ones to get the first review posted.
Going against the term "Don't fix what isn't broken," NIS decided to eschew its traditional 2D art style in favor of a full-3D RPG, and to possibly make matters even worse, the game won't be a turn-based strategy game, either. It will be a more traditional, real-time RPG. Wait ... what was that sound? I believe that was the sound of thousands of fanboys weeping and gnashing of teeth.
But fear not, my fellow nerdlings, from what the reviewer from PSP Advanced says, the game is pretty spectacular and is the best RPG to date for our beloved PSP. They go on to say the game will last more than 70 hours, and there's even a multiplayer function that allows up to four people to play simultaneously together. Blade Dancer is set to release July 18. Could this finally be the RPG we've all been waiting for?
